The origin of The White Lion is mysterious as little historical information is available. However it is at least 150 years old and was possibly a pub of the old Weller’s Brewery of Amersham, but whether it was the White Lion Road or the pub that was named first we don’t know.

Always a friendly welcome from staff and good home cooked food ,great Sunday roasts but need to get in early!. Nice relaxed surroundings good atmosphere. Have weekly promotions and entertainment.

The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were efficient and polite. Excellent visit all round

Although the menu is slightly limited the quality and size of the meals are second to none. The service was very quick and the waitress extremely friendly and made a fuss of my little granddaughter who is 5 which made her meal a relaxed and fun lunch. I will definatly be going back.
