Love this place. Would recommend to anyone. Always lovely staff, great service, great food. Whenever you go, whatever time of day, you're always guaranteed to see smiling faces and enjoy your time here. Absolutely brilliant place. The events on the weekend are always fun. Karaoke, specials on drinks, lots of people having fun and just a great environment.

Where to start with the sugar loaf inn...the staff upfront..very friendly. We came in with 10 of us, some pub staff would resent that. The staff quickly were able to serve us. The choice of beers wasn't great. Generic beers you'll find everywhere. We didn't order food but saw some getting served....the sandwich was literally white bread and half a sausage....the chips didn't look cooked. One of the regulars was swearing because we sat out the front and as we had a couple of different people walking in and out they were upset we were opening the door. There is a TV inside showing the horse racing...also a pool table inside. Out the back looked nice...manicured lawn and tables with umbrellas...don't sit out the front. I probably wouldn't bring my family here but overall it was an okay experience.

This is a cracking local pub. I organised a big family do here last August and the landlord and staff were wonderful. Our dietary preferences and intolerances were taken into account by the chef - the food was good value, excellent and plentiful. We enjoyed a balmy afternoon outside and progressed inside to the pool table which pleased the adults and children in the party. It's the first place to consider if you are planning a function locally and great for lunchtime meetings too. Highly recommended

Really friendly staff and made to feel welcome. I'm not form around here and was still made to feel like I local.

great menu, decent parking, nice seating (not on top of one another) and well prepared food. Not expensive either which was a nice surprise. would def recommend it!
