We love visiting The White Horse. So quaint and welcoming with really helpful and friendly staff. We have stayed in the modern and well appointed rooms twice, some have copper roll top baths and two have outdoor hot tubs. Its in a remote but idyllic place, nestled in a green valley with all sorts of birds to see and hear. There is plenty of parking and space for outdoor eating/drinking on the sunny terrace. We have yet to eat dinner in the restaurant but the menu looks varied and delicious and the wine list caters for all tastes and budgets. Our stay package included cream tea on arrival which was delicious and breakfast - you could choose from continental self service or hot cooked breakfast - with a good range of eggs - Benedict, royale etc. We can't wait to go back again, it's a real find and we intend to make regular visits. Oh and there is a very nice wine merchants next door, pop in once you've loaded the cases in the car!

Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely rooms with hottubs. Food was nice although the cooked breakfast was slightly disappointing. Would definately go back

From arrival to departure our stay at The White Horse was a blisses out dream come true. Our room (the rabbit room) was well appointed and private and the staff were friendly and accommodating at all turns. I'm already plotting a reason to go back. A real gem.

Flew in here in a helicopter. Land in the field next to the car park. Good food, friendly staff and a very pleasant visit. Will make a return to try out other items on the menu.

Have been to The White Horse before & enjoyed the atmosphere of the pub & it's food. But I must say that it's service is SEVERELY lacking! Made a reservation for Saturday night on a Thursday night, as I had company coming to dinner...was informed on Saturday morning that the system hadn't been updated & there was no space available for Saturday dinner time. Doesn't The White Horse employ someone to ensure that the systems are updated & customers informed in advance & are not inconvenienced? It shows such poor form to inform a customer on the morning of the reservation that their reservation will be cancelled, especially when customers have gone to the trouble of booking in advance! Staff of The White Horse, you need to be better!!!
