Shocking !! Don't bother going there, no wonder it's empty... The chicken pie( home made apparently) was no better than from the chip shop. Beer was flat service 1/10

I went here with my daughter and was truly disappointed to find that the former lunchtime deals no longer exist. The waitress was very polite and obliging, but I could not get over the amount of my bill for what we had. The food served does not warrant the price. In my opinion this place is a complete rip off and when businesses think they are smart by becoming too greedy, they are in actual fact very stupid as it creates an adverse effect by driving customers away instead of attracting them.

Food was edible, but was not impressed by hygiene. The toilets were filthy and the staff were very rude not only to me but to other customers! Will not return!

We have eaten here about 5 times over the last 5 years as it is a good stopping point between Sussex and York. The food is not cheap but it is freshly cooked and we have always found it excellent on quality. We last visited 5 days ago. I had chicken burger which turned out to be a lot of freshly cooked large pieces of chicken in a a home-made (I think) spicey crispy coating. My husband had a pie. These came with cooked veg, salad and masses of good fries. I had a big glass of prosecco. He had juice (driving next!) and we had 2 coffees. Bill - £40. Not cheap but lovely cooking. We couldnt manage a pud! Service and welcome all good. I was scruffily dressed for comfort (old sweat pants and trainers). No one seemed bothered. We'll be back!
