Another great venue, with lots of craft beers and regular music. This very large venue has amazing decor, a large bar area with upstairs lounge. They have a function room upstairs, but unable to use properly as local council gave permission for flats next-door and now the venue has to struggle. Great outdoor bar and beer garden. Definitely worth a visit.

Really warm welcome on both occasions we have visited. Great choice of beers and ciders with knowledge and advice if required. Sat by the roaring fire - didn't really want to move but had a table booked. Will certainly call in the next time we are in Newark.

Great pub, bit quirky, serving good real ales amongst a wider choice of beers and lagers. Good live music venue, very often there's a band playing.

Saw no animals, clowns or acrobats. Though I saw one girl projectile vomit and disperse a crowd of 50 people, which I suppose was visually spectacularly.
