Great pub popped in for lunch and a couple of pints, I am middle class Scottish and there were no racists that I could see. I bet the bar staff and owner treat everyone the same. They were lovely to me.

Racist owner racist patrons(not all).... If the landlord is still there I stand by this review I unfortunately walked into this pub with a friend of mine a couple of years ago (she's white I'm black... From the moment we went in there we were stared at constantly by the landlord and a few of the patrons ... It got so bad I spoke to a member of the bar staff(who was great) and another patron and was told he was like that(the landlord)... My friend actually had a go at the landlord and said about him constantly staring at her friend(me) and he was taken aback because he thought we were a couple(that's why he was giving us dirty looks)...... Needless to say I have never stepped foot in that cess pit and I advise anyone of colour who may have white female friends not to as the landlord does not like/agree(even though we were FRIENDS.... Go there if you're white and the landlord will like you.... We went to another pub in Gray's and had a great time that night just a shame we stepped into this backward hole.. EDIT....Oh and I was talking to my friend about that day and reminded me that the landlord she don't ever go back....

racist scummy pub and owners/staff. Avoid at all costs. I advise all other reviewers to also leave honest reviews on TripAdvisor for this racist place
