Booked a table for my daughters 18th birthday meal and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff were friendly from the minute we arrived, the pub was lovely, the choice on the menu was good, it was very good value for money and the food was lovely. The manager even arranged for the staff to sing happy birthday when they brought out dessert. We will definitely go back again soon. A huge thank you to everyone.

The White Hart at Calow is under new management as of Friday 30th September 2022. They are not serving food just yet should be within the next few days, but already the atmosphere is so much better. The new managers are extremely friendly and welcoming. The bar area has been cleaned up and decorated and it is really inviting. I had 0 issues with the service or availability of food or drinks and felt welcomed the moment I stepped through the door. The food was really nice and tasty. Everything was well cooked and everyone at our table enjoyed it.

We booked in for Christmas lunch there was 5 in our party, it started when they lost our Christmas order booking form I phoned the pub 5 times and was told someone would call me back after 3 weeks of waiting someone called me to tell me to do another order and go in with it which I did our meal was booked for one but was told to go at 12 noon we don’t know why as there was only only our party of 5 and another party of 7 so we could have kept our original time there was no Prosecco on arrival as stated when asked about it they hadn’t got any, when the meal was served all the vegetables was piled on our plates instead of in serving dishes which was no good for me as i cannot eat vegetables so I then had to empty my plate on my husbands any other pub bring the vegetables out separate, the meal was just warm my party left a lot of waste as the food was too over cooked for them everything was mushy on the plate we expected a much higher class of food especially with them not being busy was such a waste of money we will never return again was disgusting the only nice part was the young waitress who did everything she could.if I could give no stars I would.

Been going here on and off for 30 years. Waiting on a new manager New manager Luke is currently in place and the place is transformed, especially for Sunday lunch. A great group of staff, Dawn, Libby, Lauren, Summer plus Luke and a few more were on this Sunday gone and the food and service was terrific. Everything beautifully cooked and fresh along with service with smiles from all the staff, not just the ones I remember the names of. See the picture. What a lunch that is! Update, Luke left, a period of downtime when it went really down, but... They have new managers, Arron and Frances, been in tonight, Oct 10,and it is much cleaner already and they have big plans... Local businesses and local people deserve a chance. I've even offered to be their dog walker which is one problem I sussed out. Not that I'm doing them a favour. They would be doing me one. And my real name is Dean, also know as Dave, my middle name, if you wanna believe that, on here! Good luck to the new managers. They were very accommodating tonight. Dean.

First time going since the new owners took over. Food and drink was very good, with decent portions and the staff very friendly. The pub has been tidied up inside and out too.

We have just been for lunch. Got there for 12.15 ordered around 12.30 still waiting for food an hour later, part of order came cold another 20 minutes the rest came out scolding hot and shrivelled up. No pump soft drinks only a few bottles. Told lad behind bar not happy with meal he scurried back to the kitchen saying I will tell the chef. Never seen again. AVOID!!!

Went here for a pre booked Christmas meal. It was an absolute shambles. They had our order beforehand, yet still took at least an hour between courses. Some had to leave before desert as it was really late! Food wasn't as advertised. Pate and toast was pate with a cheap slice of untoasted bread. My brownie was a tart.... Not even the right flavour. And they still charged me full price. If I wasn't out with work people I'd have complained a lot more, but lucky for them I was there for the company more than anything. I won't go here again though

Came here with my friends a couple of weeks ago. The actual pub itself is lovely and I cannot fault the staff, they were really lovely and the service was fantastic. I was just so disappointed by the food. We had the loaded fries to share for starters they were just your Bob standed frozen fries with a bit of cheese. Very oily. Then for main I had lasagne. Again was very oily. I just think the kitchen need to take abit more care with their food. Front of house were great.

Food was average at best! More organisation required. Pre ordered as a group of 10+ and they still got it wrong! They compensated with a free round of drinks but it would have been better to get it right first time!
