Food was good for the whole group except my steak. The rib eye was the most expensive, but it was over 50% gristle. I mentioned this, and at first was told that's what Rib eye is meant to be like. On inspection they agreed to cook a new one which was actually perfect, although everyone else had finished. Average score for the initial reply. Would score higher otherwise.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Food expensive for prepacked/frozen pub food unless you stick to the specials which is the same boring thing as every other pub menu

The white cross is not perfect but considering the way a lot of pubs and eating places have gone it deserves the five stars for somehow managing to cater for drinkers, diners, families (and even the odd drinking / dining / family dog?) without much confrontation. The staff are great and so are the drinks and the food lives up to what you would hope for at this level. Well done White Cross and M&B.

Frequent this place very often. Never had anything less than a 1st class service. Bar staff extreamly freindly and helpfull.

Friendly staff make you welcome a good choice of draught beers a good food menu plenty parking visit the place you won't be disappointed.
