Attended a large event so with mass catering was not expecting perfect food BUT, it was absolutely great! Delicious soup and roll, roast chicken and crumble, all served piping hot. In addition the staff were brilliant. Nothing too much trouble. Well done to the team!
Booked a last minute table for Valentine's day dinner with my husband. The whole experience was like a dream come true, we definitely weren't expecting a candle light dinner on a special day. There was candle and rose on table, a special Valentine's Day menu, a subtle lighting to lit the mood up and faint of music... The service from the staff was just extraordinary. Every penny spent on that dinner was worth of the experience itself. My husband enjoyed his expensive steak while I had a chicken breast stuffed with crab meat never knew this combination existed. Overall, it was one of our best Valentine's Day and all thanks to The Waterfront Harwich...
We went yesterday for dinner. The food was really good. The service though. We were polite and certainly not demanding. Having to ask for cutlery is disappointing. Having the desert menu thrown at you on the table, only to be asked “what to you want”? Is unacceptable. This was not the attitude of all the servers. We were disappointed
Having decided on this restaurant as it was stated dog friendly on the website rang and booked a table here and the colleague confirmed on the phone that it was dog friendly. On the day of arrival at the cafe we were told that dogs are only allowed outside and they said that they had no booking for us even though we had booked. The service was not brilliant as the waitress did not know about anything on the menu and had to keep going away to ask. At this time of year no one would sit outside to eat and I think that dogs are only allowed to sit outside should have been said on the phone when booking. Would think twice before going back.
Had a lovely meal with friends! The fish of the day, haddock, was perfectly prepared, whether grilled or battered. Very attentive and friendly service and the interior as well as the outside seating area with sea view! was spacious and cared for.
