I haven't been here often, but when I do, it always seems to be for my birthday! Had a lovely lunch with my sister & her baby. The waiter/barman greeted us very kindly, considering we were at the door waiting for it them to open. It was a little awkward at first a woman sat counting money in the public area but again we were early I had the light steak, which tasted amazing and came with a garnish of salad, my sister had the philly steak baguette, which came with a LOT of chips. I personally think less chips and a light garnish would of been better, same with the steak. But I always like 3 parts to my meals personal opinion. the very juicy steak and attentive barman made it for me.
We received a 30% discount in the post and gave it a whirl and we were not disappointed!! The service was very welcoming and friendly especially our server Paula! The food came quickly, was hot and delicious. The price was very reasonable even without my the discount we will definitely be returning. The only very small bit of feedback I have is that some of the glasses didn’t look very clean think they may have just been old but thats it everything else was fantastic
I was absolutely delighted by my visit. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much bother. Although mocktails weren't on the menu, the barman made one for me, having taken note of my favourite flavours. My cousin and I both chose to have smaller portions and the sizes were ideal for us. The food was delicious. Parking: Plenty of parking close to the venue.
Booked here for a joint celebration for both myself and my wife’s birthdays. Joe welcomed us with open arms and seated us to a table close to the bar. Paula was our server today and was very friendly and attentive. It’s been a very long time since I have received service like this and would definitely return again. Thank you for a very pleasant experience
Really nice meal my wife Enjoyed hers but I wasn’t to keen on the new pulled pork seems to have changed from last time I had it but everything else was delicious. Was served by I believe Eve or Evie But she was really nice and made our two year old laugh and giggle every time she walked past whilst serving other tables and came over to get us more drinks as she saw we had finished them. 10/10 for service. And will definitely be back again Thank you Kid-friendliness: Lovely waiting staff. Could do with some more small children’s toys outside would be amazing.
Come here on my birthday, Had excellent service by everyone working. Daisy our server was very welcoming and catered to all our needs! The other workers Kayleigh and Leo were also very friendly and approachable! Food was also hot and tasteful! Will be returning thank you!Food: 5/5
I have visited the Water Meadow a number of times. It's a good place to go for a decent pub lunch in comfortable surroundings. This time, as is usually the case, the service was very good. My waitress, PAULA, was very helpful, attentive without being overbearing, friendly and positive. She dealt with all her customers in the same professional manner. It's encouraging to see someone doing such a good job in the hospitality sector.
Ashleigh was a great waitress and extremely helpful. Food was good although my partners steak a little fatty. Also came out with wrong side salad but Ashleigh quickly sorted. Overall good meal.Food: 4/5
We had driven past the Water Meadow a few times and decided to have a meal there, in the last month have visited 3 times, on each occasion the service was excellent, the food was very nice and we took advantage of the Thursday steak offer, the quality of the steak was fantastic and cooked perfectly. A particular mention should be made to the gentleman sorry didn't get his name who was very welcoming and to Treacle who served us, she was very attentive ensuring our meal was satisfactory and drinks were catered for without having to ask. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will be visiting again very soon.
Paula was a brilliant waitress and made us feel very welcome. Food was fantastic and catered for those with gluten allergens, without a fuss. A lovely evening!Food: 5/5
