The place has gone downhill since its most welcome arrival a few years ago. The food was pleasant pub grub, but we had to wait from 7:30 until 9:00 to get our mains and a top-up drinks order. We felt we'd been forgotten about, even though the place was less than 30% full. Very few staff about, and they kept disappearing so we couldn't even catch their eye. Looking at other reviews, our whole experience is not uncommon. Will hesitate before returning, but we would really wish the venue to pull its socks up and succeed.

Nice place to go for a drink but food wasn't to a great standard. Prawn Cocktail didn't come with a rose marine sauce but a salad dressing which was rank. The soup wasn't great too much potato and not enough cheese and my vegan guest had a very dry vegan cottage pie topped with hard peas. Pudding was nice and so was the wine but I won't be going back

The car park is beautiful designed, as is the building itself, surprisingly for a new build it has no air conditioning. It can get very hot in the summer. We went on good Friday at 11am, apparently we should have booked. No reservation signs put out. Instead we were seated at a table unsuitable for humans with legs as all of us below 5.11 were unable to put our knees under the table. One order wrong and replaced when we were finished, mash potatoe was the second most important part of my meal and was suffering from heat stroke. My wife meal was just good. Apart from those issues, it was a quite venue even though it was busy. Though I can't help but feel l would have been better off trying another place for comfort for the 3hrs l was there. Say Somerset arms.

Lovely main course, friendly attentive staff and great service. Opted for the mini pud so not to appear greedy for desert, my face said it all at £2.50 a shot glass appeared containing my berry crumble equating to approximately two teaspoons worth of desert, which being a crumble presumed would be hot...as cold as from the fridge. We laughed but it was no joke..mini means miniscule!!!

Decor is lovely. Great outdoor space for children to play and can sit outside with your dog on a sunny day. Staff are friendly and helpful.
