A good pub that shows sport on several large TV's... We visited on a Sunday to watch the Monaco F1 and enjoyed it with a few drinks and some bar snacks. Good value pub food and a big pub so plenty of room inside and out.
Ok where do I start. I will add I'm quite angry at this point. We arrived for a family meal on Saturday early evening 10th Dec we placed our order and all seemed OK. I ordered the 12oz steak with extra onion rings and peppercorn sauce. When it arrived it looked decent, but.... and yes there is a but. The steak was over cooked on the outside, quite tough medium to well and cold found out after the peppercorn sauce arrived The chips were warm and the onion rings that come with the meal were cold, the extra onion rings were also cold. So this then comes to the pepper sauce, they charge £1.29 for a tiny pot and yes this was cold also shock but this didn't arrive with the meal but 5 to 7 mins later and I had to chase for it. I ended up taking the food back and asking for a refund. What also was annoying, not one person come to see us to apologise or even ask the other members of the party if there food was ok. Poor, absolutely poor place.
Having used the warren for about 7 years on and off With mixed reviews of the food I’d alike to say well done. The game has been upped and the standard has improved majorly in recent months. The staff are friendly and myself and the dog are always made to feel welcome. I eat at least once a week here now and had no issues, the foods been tasty and hot and the beer has been great. No complaints at all.
Had a lovely Xmas meal here - very quick to resolve a miscommunication regarding a member of our party needing wheelchair access. The staff quickly resolved everything and we couldn’t have asked for more accommodating staff. Food was great
Had a lovely meal yesterday. Staff friendly and very helpful. Clean and well kept premises. Definitely go back.
What a disappointment. The salmon salad was old fish which was overcooked placed on the salad which was on a warm plate that made it more limp. My chicken parmigiana had an underwhelming to no flavour and the topping was the same. Someone needs to do quality checking. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day!
Possibly the worst food I’ve ever been served! Burger bun was rock hard, meat free burger looked and tasted like a thick, bone dry disc of god knows what. Dessert was ok but was clearly prepared by someone who hates their job! Never again!!
Attended for a gig. Nice selection of drinks. Service was slow but it was busy so fair enough. Food was your standard grub,
**Update** Generally the food is of good quality, however it does still vary had a really nice meal on Saturday, popped back in the week for the same, and quality wasn't as good On the last 4 visits spaced over a couple of months my son wanted to order fish fingers, however on each occasion we were informed the fish fryer was broken. This was disappointing and even my son commented "have they not fixed it yet, I don't really want anything else" Can get very busy on weekends and when sport events are taking place. Generally a good local place for a bite to eat and a drink, however feel let down by the fish fryer never being operable.
We had a lovely meal at the Warren in Kettering. Kayla was our waitress, and she did a great job, especially on her 1st day.
