I was visiting the area and some friends took me to Hobsons Choice for breakfast. It was the prefect choice. I had the big plate, I think it was called something like that. Check out the picture - enough food for a small army! The food was tasty, the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I would definitely recommend this place to other. Well done and thank you!
I took a group of clients from the residential home I work at. They have a range of various disabilities. The staff were extremely welcoming and showed a caring approach to our clients. The staff behind the bar were great. Food was lovely. Wish I could share some of the happy photos but because of consent I am unable. Thanks again.
Just had breakfast sat at table 3. Service absolutely amazing. Food came really quick. Tasty, brilliant portions and tons of it . Staff lovely could not fault it. Plain waffle girls mum
Not the best. Went out for dinner with my family to celebrate my mother's birthday. All 4 of us ordered burgers and when the came to the table every bun was cold. I ordered the southern fried chicken burger, which had no description on the menu so I was intrigued about what I would receive, but it was not a pleasant surprise when it came to the table - it barely had a leaf of lettuceand the tiniest amount of onion they could have put on there. My father ordered the bacon cheeseburger and I would not even call it that considering the tiny amount of bacon that was on there, and he said it felt like the burger had been stuck to the pan. Half-way through eating my burger, I realised that the edge of my chicken was still pink so we called the staff over who were very polite about the incident who replaced my burger with another one. Overall I was not very happy with my food but the staff were very polite.
The staff were lovely but...... My daughter is coeliac, went to a hungry horse because I know they do gluten free options usually have to research anywhere we go. Ask for the allergens information on a tablet and she decided on chicken wings, chips and corn on the cob. Ordered, but then a member of staff came to tell us that the wings and chips can't be guaranteed GF as fried in the same oil as gluten stuff so why is it offered as gluten free if you can't cook it GF? Picture is what she ordered in the end, naked burger well done or burnt jacket potatoes luke warm and on the whole not very appetising. Then to add insult to injury, asked for options of GF pudding thinking it would be fruit or ice cream was offered GF cheesecake or GF apple crumble, she went for the cheesecake, then, minutes later, stakk came out to say no cheesecake, daughter thought about ice-cream but was told no guarantee of being GF, so she went for the apple crumble both apple crumble and cheesecake cost adult price!. When apple crumble came, it had ice cream with it...... Was this GF ice cream? If so why wasn't it offered, if it wasn't, you just glutened my daughter. She was left in tears. Going out for a meal is meant to be a nice treat, this was a traumatic nightmare. If you are coeliac.... Avoid!!!!
Was in the area visiting our children and grandchildren so decided to stop in for a bite, it was a Tuesday and the Tuesday offer was a choice of 1 of 2 parts of the menu for £8 per person. We ordered our food and drinks, when the food arrived it was well cooked and a plentiful size. We also decided to order the shared desert each from the children menu and again it was just what we needed. The staff were all very pleasant, friendly and helpful. We will be going back again we just wished there was one closer to us rather than having to travel over 100 miles
Lived in quite a few areas, since we moved to Kettering 3 years ago this is our go to Hungry Horse. Amazing stuff always friendly and welcoming. Food is always good! Today they provided an awesome Santa breakfast visit for my little ones, they had yummy food had awesome presents from Santa! Best Hungry Horse we have ever been to and recommend to everyone!.!.!.!
Very good value for money and nice atmosphere. We took a friend for a meal last Saturday and we all had the Full Monty mixed grill which we all enjoyed. Everything was cooked perfect and the staff all very warm and welcoming even though they were busy. Good service all round.
Fab meal, excellent value for money and top customer service. Our lovely server was Claire, and nothing was too much trouble. I have special dietary needs and Claire was extremely helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or return. xx
Visited the pub for a catch up with friends, cannot fault the service the food was delivered quickly and as described on the menu, great value for money. Have to give a big shout out for Claire she looked after us all evening and made sure we had everything we needed nothing was too much trouble for her. Will definately visit again.
