My first visit and I must say it was absolutely outstanding for the dining experience. I had the most perfectly cooked salmon & dessert was absolutely gorgeous service was very excellent and attentive. The restaurant felt very warm, cosy and clean. I really want to visit again and perhaps stay in the hotel to give a really accurate overall information review because it felt amazing in the restaurant. The toilets were very nice and fresh and there was a beer garden and small smoking area with parking available Thanks for a great dining experience Food & drinks: Outstanding
Sunday roast was of a good quality and delicious, and reasonably priced. Six of us landed and we had a well behaved dog… the website has a dog next to a beer barrel so we wrongly assumed doggies were welcome.. however they are only allowed in the marquee area at the back… so worth noting if you have a dog when booking… so other than that our experience was really great and we would certainly return for another round of Sunday roast.. thanks Walnut Tree…
Reasonably priced excellent food with lovely staff. We visited here in May for lunch en route to our holiday accommodation. It was nice then, with an exceptional homemade sticky toffee pudding. We're on holiday again and returned mainly because of it but the whole experience exceeded expectations. Louise made our visit special, an asset to your company.
Me and my family stopped off here for some food. My son ordered roast ham, egg and chips. The ham was not proper roast ham it was a few slices of packet ham. My husband ordered whitebait and calamari, the calamari was undercooked and smelt very fishy like it was old. I ordered the chicken pie and mash but was given pie and chips. When I questioned the waitress I was told it didn't come with mash potato and then she said it was a choice of chips or mash, the menu had been taken so I thought maybe I had misread the menu. When I left I looked at the menu and had just been completely lied to, it should have been pie and mash. My vegetables were hard and I had potato skin on my plate even though none of us had mash potato. Absolutely disgusting to lie to paying customers.
Only stopped her for a drink after a walk but staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had table service as they were a group of us. Pub appeared clean and tidy. Food menu looked good and reasonably priced.Service: 5/5
Excellent Sunday Roast! Finally a good carvery with fresh meat and veg! Only note, roast potatoes were lukewarm and not as good as they looked... but parsnips were delicious, so was the cauli cheese and the roast pork! Roast beef was tender and juicy. Big yorkies too. service was fast and polite, Will return!

Would not recommend went for food with my partner and ordered some food when it came to the table the food was wrong so politely I asked if it could be changed and they said yes and took the food away then when coming to pay for the bill the blonde manager lady who's clearly a karen charged me for the food and I qoute said " you made us cook it so you can pay for it" even though she took ot away straight away and I hadn't had the item, also the food that did come was under cooked chicken looked raw nsf have been contacted.
