A location for a birthday meal on Sunday so a nice selection of food and drink. The staff went above and beyond looking after us and ensuring that the occasion went smoothly, which it did. The food was really lovely and all dishes eaten hit a high standard I would highly recommend a visit.Service: 5/5
Been here many times. Always pricey and normally good but today was disappointing. No Vegetarian roast option and no vegetarian gravy. The ‘rich’ Irish stew for £25 was watery with not much meat. 2 out of 5 meals being ordinary isn’t OK when spending £170.
First visit for a family lunch. Food overpriced although well presented. Wiltshire ham looked out of a packet and cheddar was utterly tasteless! £13.95 for a panini, nine chips and a salad garnish was ridiculous! Won’t be returning.
Had our wedding here on Saturday. Amazing from start to finish. All of Lee’s team were outstanding! Fran, seb, Lee. And the chefs Calum and Adrian! Food was outstanding and the staff were professional throughout. If you’re thinking about having a wedding here then I would 100% reccomend Lee and his team at the Dove. 5*
Amazing pub with absolutely perfect hosting, every little request like gluten free and and a fillet of fish rather than the whole fish was perfectly catered to. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious everything was such a perfect blend of flavours and texture not one of the 13 people we were dining with had anything to say but how wonderful the food was. Overall the best hosting I’ve ever experienced in a place with lovely decor and brilliant food, worth every penny and must go in Wiltshire.
This was off the beaten path, but it was a beautiful drive to get there. Room and bathroom were ample size. Mine was upstairs and had a few of the farmers field with alpacas. It was quiet without road noise. Lee, the hotel manager was very delightful and full of good stories. Both our dinner and breakfast were delicious.
The room we stayed in was really big and comfortable, the ensuite shower was powerful. We were a large party and the staff catered for us well.
Amazing hidden gem, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff and and general atmosphere were fantastic. My Wife and I along with our dog were made to feel welcome and there was a fantastic open fire in the corner. We will absolutely be going back and sharing the experience with others.
Very friendly and helpful people there, comfy and clean rooms, good food, overall nice atmosphere. We were only staying overnight for a nearby family birthday thanks for the wine to give to birthday boy, that was really kind of you! but this place was a nice little find, very pleasant.
I never had such good food. I had the Lamb and the meat was so tender, melted in my mouth. Very tastfull vegetables and a heavenly Lemon/cheesecake dessert. Higly recommended.
