Decent pub. Lovely bit of history inside and the food was lovely. Would definitely return.
Big room + wood burner. Side room + beer garden. Wood panels. Worm feel to the pub .10 h/ pulls beer and staff good.
A great breakfast fit for a giant served within 15mins also a good range of coffee to go with it I will return again its very good here.
Called on during the Pendle Beer Festival for a Pizza and Pint. It was very busy but managed to jump on a newly vacated table. It was quickly cleared and cleaned by the staff and, after using the app, our food and drinks arrived in good time. Cracking pizza.
Visited here today had the large breakfast which includes 2sausage ,2Bacon ,2eggs beans mushroom 3hash browns and toast .well worth the money .FREE Brew refills .all served quickly in nice and clean premises .served by the friendly staff .well worth visiting here
As Wetherspoons go, it does exactly what it says on the tin however the hygiene standards are shoddy at best. Having sat down at a table and ordered food, nobody bothered to wipe down the salt and sauce ridden table. Had to then queue to ask for a cloth to do it myself.
I can only speak for myself My fish was good . there were three of us all of our chips were luke warm my mushy peas were stone cold. The place got packed so its obviously liked. I wont be going again
Been in a few times and found the landlady/manager to be very rude and abrupt to customers and staff. Not sure she's in the right job tbh as she doesn’t seem to like people. Apart from that it's not a bad pub, except for the cold beans and overcooked eggs at breakfast.
Good for a bite to eat a few beers with friends and a catch up , very central location , can get very busy but still all good .
There was a good atmosphere when we visited in the afternoon. The drinks were reasonably priced and the food was nice the only real thing that I didn't like was the fact that my steak was not cooked as I asked. It was not just my steak that was cooked incorrectly but my sister's too. Everyone else in our party had no complaints.
