Very surprised at the negative reviews, we popped in on Valentine's night on the off chance we might be able to get a family meal and were very pleasantly surprised to see there was a full carvery in operation as well as a pizza bar. The staff were helpful and the whole atmosphere was very pleasant. The carvery with unlimited veg was absolutely fabulous. Will definitely be returning.

Came here specifically because late night eating was available, unfortunately younger staff were more interested in cleaning up than taking our order at the bar & were happy to walk past ignoring us. It meant a wait whilst Diane poured pints at the other end of the bar. Found out when I asked to speak to the manager (who didn't come herself) that only one till was functioning. Front of house staff should know what is going on & be able to interact with their customers. An apology & explanation would have been fine. Having said that, food was excellent & plenty & served by helpful chefs who even brought us the chips to finish up as we were the last eating. Don't order Rocky Road Sundaes, not good value for money - tiny, more like a child's dessert. Finally, ladies loos are appalling, seats are wobbly, or not actually attached at all. One loo had even lost its flush button! Sad.

Upon entering the restaurant we was greeting pleasantly by one of the bar staff. The prices for a Sunday evening carvery are very competitive and the food you get for the price is amazing! The food it self is cooked well and you get copious amounts. Lovely place and would definitely recommend!

Been here a few times now when passing through, nice friendly pub with a good arrange of beers.I have a carvery everytime I come here and it's Ok, but it's just like all the other carvery places I've been too. Clean, tidy, well presented.

Popped here rather than the usual Toby carvery. Have to say it was lovely and great value. Good for vegetarians too!
