Avoid at all costs and bring your own drinks and snacks. We bought 4 large tubs of ice cream and which is basically a small scoop. At £3.25 each it’s a complete rip off. The photo shows a half empty tub which is supposed to be large! The staff aren’t very friendly either, we felt that we were massively inconveniencing them.Food: 1/5
Not a fantastic choice of food, but the place was clean and the staff were very helpful. The young lady who took our order was more than happy to refill our reusable cups so nice to know they are supporting the environment too. My children enjoyed the ice creams which I must admit looked very good. The terrace is a lovely spot with fabulous views across Belfast and there are toilet facilities nearby.
The staff are great but the food selection was a bit 'meh' on the day I visited. Could be improved.Food: 2/5
The icecreams and products were nice. But the service is not that good. The staff are too slow and can't finish serving faster
When you reach the Tearoom at Belfast Zoo, you certainly are ready for a seat as it awaits you after a Big climb. The prices can be a bit steep as well as the climb and there isn't a great variety of hot food. The staff are very friendly and when walking around the fantastic Zoo maybe just a cup of tea or an ice-cream is all you really need....
The loveliest views from here eating our ham and cheese toasties and enjoying our coffees which wear very cleverly decorated with chocolate Gorilla's due to the new birth at the zoo
Staff are all young and don't really care but I got my coffee. They have a new seating area outside with picnic benches some of which are undercover. If your lucky the peacock may pay you a visit whilst your munching. I do enjoy the zoo and this cafe is perfectly placed to refresh and refuel after the steep climb up.
The cafe in itself is just OK, in my opinion. The 5-star review is for the young man who served me at the ice-cream counter around lunchtime on 18th March 2022. He was really friendly and engaging, and couldn't have been more helpful. Great job!
Nice place to sit and catch yr breath get a bite to eat b4 going to see the rest of the animals great picnic tables and great views
Good food can be costly if in a large group.. Great views
