Had a lovely, relaxing stay at The Tower Rooms this weekend whilst being on a training course at Buckden Towers. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom a good size. You could come and go as you pleased and felt like a home from home! Christine (owner) was prompt at responding to emails and was very friendly and accommodating. The only down side to the room was that the shower head was not mounted on the wall and instead on a holder just above the taps ... This made washing hair quite tricky but i could see that the shape of the room didn't facilitate this!! You could also hear the a1 which is close by but this didn't affect my stay. Have already booked to stay again!! :)

My recent stay at The Tower Rooms was lovely. It's so relaxed, you can come and go as you please like it's your own home. I also love the fact that you can help yourself to continental breakfast anytime you like - no having to drag yourself out of bed early to face a massive breakfast! Buckden is a gorgeous village with fab pub grub and shops.

Lovely rooms, massive kitchen, and large lounge are spoilt by the fact that if a room is booked and a deposit paid, you cannot rely on the room ACTUALLY being booked. Despite booking 10 months in advance my deposit was lost by the person on site, and no room was booked! If you book here, check and double check that there will be a room for you when you arrive. Only use this place if you are desperate.

Awful experience - I had booked in for two nights but did not stay for one night let alone two There is no signage from the High Street and the room was in a house not the one in the photograph on the website! The approach and behaviour of the man who answered the door was strange - no introduction, no explanation of amenities(until asked) but very keen that I should pay immediately.He seemed to think I had a friend joining me in spite of two telephone conversations with him and his wife when I booked in .The room was nicely decorated but the shower was dirty and the shower room was adjacent to the room not ensuite (again misleading) When I told the man that I was sorry but I didn't feel able to stay his response was 'good riddance' - this reinforced the fact that I had made the right decision to leave immediately

As a local business owner, I often refer visitors to the area. I have had nothing but great feedback from anyone who has stayed at Tower Rooms, I would throughly recommend them if you need accommodation in this area.
