I had made a reservation in advance for a stay linked to an important exam I am taking, and I booked a room at the rate of £140. I have since realised that I mistakenly booked the room for one person instead of two. Upon contacting the hotel to correct this honest error, I was informed that I would need to pay £200 now instead of £140 to make this change, a substantial increase of £60 for simply adding a second guest. I was told that this was not an admin fee, it was because the current prices of the hotel are £200 per night because the hotel is currently in high demand and if I wanted to add an additional guest then they could not honour my initial price despite it being booked for months.nnI am extremely disappointed by the lack of flexibility and customer service offered in this situation. It is unreasonable to impose such a high additional charge, especially given that the room itself remains the same and no extra services are being requested beyond what should be a standard accommodation for two people.nnAs a paying guest who booked in good faith, I expected a more understanding and helpful approach from a brand of Marriott’s reputation. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and let down.nnI respectfully request that this charge be reviewed and that a fair solution be offered. I would appreciate a prompt response, as my stay is approaching and I would like to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Immaculately clean throughout and a superb hotel gym. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a UK hotel - very varied and decent quality. For the price it is an excellent hotel but it's a cab ride to the centre of Huntingdon. We did a lovely six mile walk through Hinchinbrooke Country Park, lunch at Brampton Mill, via the White Hart in Godmanchester great little pub, well looked after and apparently the food is excellent and very well priced, then into Huntingdon itself. Great stay, and we will be returning to the hotel.

I stay at this hotel for a couple weeks every year when I have work in the area. It’s in a convenient location and has a good cooked breakfast, plus an amazing gym with room key access.nnI’ve docked a star because this past year the maintenance issues have become pervasive. The plumbing needs upgrading I’ve had two toilets fail on me this year and the aircon is hit or miss—I’ve had to change rooms twice due to discomfort and twice more just sweat it out when the aircon failed. Do check the climate in your room when you check in.nnI almost still give the hotel five stars though because the staff has some amazing members who really care. Some members are a bit new and hapless compared to the standard set when I’ve stayed previous years but the pros really shine. Olena is an absolute gem—I wasn’t having the best day and she turned it completely around. Outstanding service really does make a difference!

I have been to the Hotel today to be spoilt for Mothers Day, what can I say, the service from start to finish was amazing.nThe buffet service of food was great, and the beef was the best I have had in a long time.nAll of the staff were working so hard to make this a lovely occasion. Thank you from a very happy and full bellied Mum x

Stayed for a weekend / night. Very good experience. The hotel location might not be inspiring, but the stay was excellent. Staff offered a room upgrade through the Marriott membership and were very friendly, supportive, accommodating. The leisure centre facilities were all in a very good condition, working properly and clean. The bar / restaurant had a few good options for dinner. Parking is free for guests, but you need to register you license plate at reception.nnDefinitely returning in the future.
