As I walked in I was told aggressively that the food in the hot cabinet was all they had as they were closing in 10 minutes, 15 minutes earlier than Google advised me. The girl that served me was borderline rude and did not pay any attention to my request for plenty of salt & vinegar, I could taste neither, although the food was very nice, in 18 months of working away from home this is the first meal that I have finished, and still felt hungry m. Not good value for money & staff seemingly need to go on a customer care course or two. I will not be back as there are far superior takeaway establishments in Lockerbie.
Excellent! Perfectly cooked melt in your mouth chips..also salt&sos: Only let down was school kids pushing in and crowding over you. Would definitely recommend! But children need a two kids rule implemented.. Vegetarian options: Got chips and a roll both vegetarian ,, think they had a veggie burger on menu Parking: Right next door is a one hour free parking area for about four cars. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance appears flat etc..but I'm sure they would come to the door to serve/help.
Excellent quality fish and chips. Very good value for money too and great service. Would come again.Food: 5/5
Chips were lovely as they were fresh from the fryer, but the steak pie was reheated.
Ok so this is a fish n chip shop. However, the prices are reasonable, the portions of fish are generous and tasty, and service is quick. We travel the m74 corridor to and from England regularly, and often stop here, mostly on the way north it is often about 6pm, and it is only 5 mins off the motorway to reach the town centre. The fare on offer is vastly superior to the meals on offer at the Mway services either side of Lockerbie.
Food was good and very tasty, let down by the food hygiene, bloke handled the food with his bare hands from the hot cabinet to wrap them, doesn't look good. Nice staff and food, buy a pair of tongs to handle the food and it would be close to perfect.
Having been told of a new trend in Scotland which is as we all know renowned for its culinary delights I was intrigued to see that tower fish bar did indeed have deep fried pizza on the menu. Always one for being up for a challenge I ordered one and despite having some trepidation found it really enjoyable. It was like eating a hot savory doughnut of which im a fan. Having said that the social distancing and food handling protocols were not followed ie using fingers to pick up customers food is a big no no. Do they not adhere to the same systems as the rest of the UK in Scotland in terms of inspections and reports and categories of what was found when a business is inspected I don't remember seeing any signs in windows
Awful chippy, tasted musty! Waste of money and a Saturday night treat! I wish the shop would read the reviews and make the necessary improvements so the town can have a good chippy and the business survives.
Used this chip shop twice now and found the food and prices to be good. Never takes long to get served.
Great fish and chips and well priced.
