Lovely pub, we visit regularly but rarely order food as it’s quite expensive! We decided to order nachos £17.95 for a sharing platter and the guacamole portion was so small it was gone after a few nachos and I had to ask for more. I was charged £2.50 for an extra thimble. £20.45 is really extortionate for what was served. It is a nice pub though with kids play area out the back and an outdoor seating area that has heaters to keep warm in the winter. *I’ve tried nachos in many restaurants and this is one place where I wouldn’t order again because it’s such poor value. Shame!
Nice lunch, we both had sandwiches and chips and I had a beer. Nice staff.nnI am a wheelchair user and it was mostly all good as they have an accessible toilet. Not many of the tables work well with wheelchairs and moving around can possibly be a bit of an issue with chairs in the way but that’s okay as staff were helpful.nnCould not go outside as they were having lots of decorating work done, which in a way is a good thing as it’s being kept in good condition. We did visit a few years ago and our child played outside, so will have to return to see how it looks
Dinner was great, customer service was fantastic. Note that we ordered a late roast at 5:30pm, very impressed and how much moisture and flavour the roast carried for that time of the day. Would highly recommend
Family of four went on a Sunday at 1pm on way back from camping for the weekend.nLuckily space available.nFor a starter, I had the bruschetta, avocado and chilli salsa sauce and it was one of the best starters I have ever eaten nWe then all had roast and again, it was tasty, hot and hit the spot.nFor dessert brownie, toffee sponge and ice cream…amazing!nThe service was great and all of the staff so very friendly.nIf i could give an 11 out of 10, I would!nKeep it up!
Large pub with food served at lunchtime and then in the evening. We had fish and chips which were hot, very nicely cooked, without being too greasy, and the chips were crisp. Well presented. Staff were friendly. Being a Tuesday, the pub was fairly quiet in the afternoon and early evening. It was clean and comfortable. There is a good sized car park.
