One of my favourite pubs despite living hundreds of miles away. I've had stag nights here where I've been surprised we haven't been thrown out. I've had a quiet lunch with my kids. The beer is good and so is the food. It seems to be the right pub for any occasion.

Looks like a nice pub and is dog friendly but only at the bar and outside. Inside is tired and not particularly clean looking. They said they have a vegan menu but it was very poor. Staff were rude and generally disinterested. Food over priced for pub grub. Might go back for a drink in the summer but wont ever eat there. Overall disappointing. (Blue groove around the corner much, much, friendlier and very accommodating.)

Had a wonderful stay here . We stayed in an apartment opposite and belonging to The Thatch. It was decorated to a very high standard. Giving a clean contemporary beach feel. Bed was very comfy. The bathroom was 5* hotel standard. Lovely shower. Breakfast choice was ample and came lovely and hot. Well stocked cereal selection with juice and coffee on tap . Staff are very friendly too. I will definitely recommend this and I will definitely come back.

Have been coming here since the early 90's. Yes the food is still great after a hard day in the surf, walking or mountain biking. Staff are generally very helpful and friendly. This visit was more akin to the Star Wars bar. It seemed the pub is a little over confident on it's many 5 star ratings. To give the Thatch the benefit of the doubt, I probably just hit them on a bad day. That said, I still love the place and will come back for sure!

Traditional English village pub by the sea friendly and definitely family friendly. We were visiting family nearby and took the pet dog for a lovely walk followed a refreshing drink . We were all made most welcome including our 4 legged companion who also enjoyed a refreshing drink of water and a short nap
