Doesn't look much from the outside and interior may be a little dated, but its nice and clean and the Sunday carvery represents excellent value!

Decor a dated, but decent cheap accomodation, friendly landlord and decent pub grub. Free full english in the morning. Everything you want from a pub B and B. Well kept real ale on too. (Tribute and Bath Gem at the time of staying)

We have just stayed here for 2 days the staff are friendly the room was just what we needed and the breakfast was good,hot and freshly cooked would recommend this place

My wife and I had lunch here today, first and last time!!! On entering the pub, the decor is dated and the room we ate in was very cold, but then 1 bar on a calor gas heater was never going to warm a room the size it was. The meal itself was disappointing. The Brie wedges starter were nicely presented and tasty and served very quickly. The main on the other hand was awful, I had the chilli burger which in fairness the chilli con carne on top was really tasty, unfortunately it ended there, the burger albeit a decent size was very overcooked to the point of being rubbery. My wife had the gammon steak, well we say steak 80% went back as it was mainly fat and gristle and inedible for my wife. The mushrooms that came with it were very nice. The chips the less said the better. When the waitress came to take our plates she never asked if everything was alright, she just picked up the plates and made a hasty retreat to the kitchen. I cannot understand why there are surcharges on the pies, what for??? This may have just been an unfortunate incedent, but enough to put us off going back again.
