A place to watch sport, eat and drink with friends. The service is superb, the place has plenty of screens to enjoy any sport without distraction. The food is exquisite, the Cheese Bruschetta is glorious, super creamy and exquisite. And the prices are super good for eating and drinking. A place to come back infinite times
It's clean but a wee bit quite when I went there for lunch with an old colleague of mine. We had fish & chips and scampi. Both served hot and delicious. I had G&T, 2 for 1 cocktail and my ex-colleague had her house white. It is totally vfm and would definitely go back for more. I think the place has been cleaned as the tables, chairs and even the floor is 'not sticky'. So all you locals, do go there for your meals and drinks and judge for yourself as to vfm, quality of food and the staff. I was there in 21.12.2022 at around 12:45 pm. Thank you staff for your service.
Very good atmosphere. Amazing food, especially the crispy battermilk pork belly and chicken tikka. Thank you Heidi!! All the bar staff who served us today were so welcoming and helpful. Thank you Angel, Charlotte and Amy.
At over £3 for a soft drink I would call this more Tally Go as in leave than Tally Ho! But Mummy Debra was in one of her blast from the past moods and Hadn't set foot in this pub for around 30 years. The pub has a few seating areas but the upstairs was roped off. It was thankfully quiet on this occasion but one imagines it would be full when the sports are televised. The staff was welcoming of a talking teddy bear and a crazy woman wandering around photographing it. There is an outdoor seating area but I imagine, being sandwiched between the north and southbound roads, that it would be a touch on the loud and polluted side for Mummy! Looking at the menus and review photos it's not a gastropub affair but just standard pub grub. It's dog friendly with dog biscuits.
Love the history of the pub still in the Center of Finchley. The pub is so much better now than when it was a Wetherspoon’s.. The management and staff are much more welcoming and friendly now days. The drinks and food are also better Quality and more variety on offer. There is also a better atmosphere with entertainment and events. I particularly enjoyed the baby Guinness drink on St Patrick’s day Cheers

Been there to watch the world cup finals. Easy to order a table in advanced. Team set up our table with a nice note as well, and saved us a good spot. Could redeem the deposit against what we've ordered. Team were really nice and service was great. Only thing they should improve in the future- they ran out of most of the food item before the match even started.. knowing this will draw crouds feels like they could have managed it better and get stock to accommodate the customers... Other than that, was a nice experience.
Chose to watch the WC22 game tonight at Tally Ho after perusing their tantalizing menu, I was excited to dig in to a pork belly roast. Instead there was a reduced menu of wings and burgers. The wings were burnt and I was left terribly dissatisfied as I would have liked a little side salad at least with the fried food we ordered, but non available. The atmosphere was great, service excellent and drinks top notch but would not recommend dinner if going to watch a football match.
We've had a couple of good birthday gatherings upstairs at this pub but the weekend just gone we decided to go all out for a gender reveal party which really has topped any party we've put on. The venue was perfect, drinks at a great price as per, but mainly the staff were so accommodating and attentive - they really looked after us. A massive shout out to manager Johnny, the smashing bar staff, including ladies Ashlee & Amy and of course head chef Heidi and the team who put on a fantastic spread. Thank you guys, it was a perfect day and I recommend anyone to seriously consider the Tally Ho for any event!
Has definitely improved since the last time I came here. The new menu is great and the food is decent. Love the tv screens. More places should have tvs on tables. Fantastic. Will happily come back soon.
