Part of the Fortuna Inns group, we are all about the people. Great staff, great customers, great food & great service. We aim to keep our food & drink local, rustic and always with our heritage in mind.

We source many if our ingredients from local farms & businesses, creating authentic homemade dishes. We are constantly updating our drinks range to include home brewed products such as ‘Hilden’ in order to offer our customers the best dining experience possible.

Situated by the picturesque Carrickfergus Castle, built in 1177 it remains one of the best preserved medieval structure in Ireland. Combining this scenery with our passion for food & service ensures you receive a truly unique Irish experience.

Swift Bar

Quickly establishing itself as the premiere entertainment venue of Carrickfergus; The Swift Bar plays host to its own pool hall, and provides live entertainment from the best of Local musicians and DJs.

Homing twelve supreme pool tables within the venue The Swift Bar now accommodates for professional and amateur league pool tournaments, while of course also being available to the average customer who would like to just enjoy a few games with a quiet drink.

The Swift Bar’s walls are lined with televisions broadcasting the biggest sporting events: Football, Rugby, Boxing and NFL to name a few. No sport is off boundaries as we provide you with the best location to gather with friends and family and enjoy the match.

Serving food daily from our Bar Menu we provide not only the best of entertainment, sports and offers but also the best of food for you to enjoy; be it a burger to accompany your beer during the big match, or a plate of Nachos for you and friends to enjoy while you partake in our Thursday Quiz Night.

As Friday arrives each week The Swift Bar welcomes in the weekend with it’s “Finally Fridays” night of entertainment. With a Live DJ performing every week from 9PM, customers are encouraged to join us in socialising, partake in our fantastic Weekend Rollback drink offers and of course test their skills in a game of pool. There’s no other way to ease into the weekend and be glad that it’s ‘Finally Friday’.

The Last Saturday Night of the Month sees our roster of Musicians tune up their guitars, and turn the volume up to 11 as The Swift Bar presents “Live At The Swift: It’s Saturday Night”. With a host of top local talents playing through the night, there’s quite simply nowhere else which can compare to this venue for live music in Carrickfergus. So as the lights dim and our performers take to the stage we clear the way for a dance floor and the Saturday party atmosphere which is not to be missed.
