Arrived for an impromptu lunch and were delighted with the service, drinks and food. Lovely welcoming and friendly staff and the restaurant was relaxing. No pressure to order food. Loved the pea puree with the fish and chips and my wife's Cajun Chicken burger was equally delightful. We will return. Thank you.Service: 5/5
Amazing, amazing, amazing! We absolutely loved it here. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom had recently been redone to be super luxurious, and the breakfast was delicious. The hosts were very welcoming and charming as well. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Crooked Swan.
Party of 7: Visited the Crooked Swan several times since the refurb and have always left knowing, we'd return. However this visit may change that. On arrival, we were asked if we wanted to order drinks at the bar, or at the table...should have ordered at the table. After a lengthy wait, we finally received our drinks. We asked to wait 5 minutes to order our meals, as one member of the party was delayed and hadn't had a chance to look at the menu. Eventually I had to ask at the bar, if someone could come and take the food order. 6 starters arrived and were enjoyed by all. The mains took a while to follow, to which one main Steak was well beyond the "medium" required, almost beyond well done. Chose not to send back, due to the extended wait, but did mention to the waitress who was apologetic and said she would tell the chef. By this point, glasses were starting to get dry and unfortunately we weren't asked if we wanted more, so again we had to ask for someone to come and take another drinks order. 2 members then decided to order desserts, 30-45 minutes later, they arrived...tasty but a tad late. Received the bill no compensation or reduction offered, for the over-cooked steak, paid and left. They were relatively busy, but 4+ hours for 15 plates of food, was a bit excessive. Fortunately we had plenty to talk about, to pass the time. Hopefully this improves over time, as generally the food is too quality and a nice place to eat. Fingers crossed
Visited The Crooked Swan this morning to meet up with friends. Beautiful warm welcome, lovely coffee and delicious pastries. Can't wait to go back. Delightful, kind and polite staff. Thank you so much xxService: 5/5
The Crooked Swan is an excellent small hotel in the town centre and was ideal for my recent overnight stay. The bedroom was comfortable and the food dinner and breakfast good. There are some nice beers to be had in the bar too. The waitresses and other staff were friendly and helpful, and I look forward to a future return. Parking is available in a nearby carpark.

We were passing by this lovely village when we came across this pub and made the great decision of stopping for lunch. We had a lovely roast that was extremely tasty. The staff and service are also brilliant. Would definitely recommend.Rooms: 5/5
my mates wedding was at the venue close by called “the white barn”. we had the most beautiful stay, at the crooked swan. would highly recommend for wedding guests! room was spacious, clean and beautiful. the staff were all so lovely, the food was delicious, the manager was attentive and kind; particularly when we had a little taxi drama. basically book your taxi’s in advance and if you need one: ask the hotel to book you one with Rodger, he is affordable and great
Fantastic service with great food they even have an outdoor area that looks like it would be great in the warmer months, Food & drinks: Lovely food even the steak was cooked spot on Noteworthy details: Put you car in the local Aldi, no to expensive and free after 1800hrs
