The Swan
"The Swan is a beautiful 17th century listed building, situated in the picturesque village of Pangbourne with traditional setting oak beams and three open fires to keep you warm and cosy during those long and frosty winter nights. And for those lazy summer days we have a beautiful terrace overlooking the river Thames, perfect for drinking and dining and soaking up the summer sun. Or if you’re looking for something a little more private why not try our private dining room “The Bunker” which is based in the pubs original Coal Bunker and can accommodate for up to 10-12 diners."

Great location with views over the Thames. The food was very good especially the chocolate and Guinness fondant. Friendly service looked after my elderly mother in law very well. Can't wait to come back.
Wonderful food, great service and a fine selection of beers. Sitting on the bank of the Thames, round the corner from the train station is this fantastic pub. It's the prefect end to the 5 mile amble from Goring down the river. Recommended.
Picturesque pub & restaurant right on the bank of the Thames just on the outskirts of west Pangbourne. Stopped off here for drinks & a meal on our circular walk from Goring. Managed to get a table outside right by the bank of the river. It was a brilliant location & the food was excellent.
Lovely staff and outside area. We brought our little dog who liked sitting by the river. We had the sunday roast which was really nice.
A very nice place, with authentic athmosphere. The food was also great, as well as the service. The food selection is not so wide, but it is not a problem, as every dish is so appealing that you cannot decide what to chose. I hope I will have the chance to visit this place again.
If you fancy a drink, a lovely sunday roast with a beautiful view then you must visit The Swan. Staff are very friendly and the roast was scrumptious. The prices were quite reasonable too. But the best part is most definitely the serene views of the river. Not many venues could offer you this gorgeous setting! If the british weather allows, definitely go for a table outside. There is parking available on site, however be warned that the places are limited and if you drive a big car, it is a bit of a mission to get in and out.
Great little pub, fantastic views over the Thames. Is dog friendly, small car park, really hospitable staff.
Lovely pub and great location close to the Thames. Very tentative service by female staff, sorry didn’t get her name. Who recommended a really good bottle of red. Food pretty amazing. It slightly went down hill after the mains and the pub became busy. Served by a young man, sorry no name again. Who was less tentative and a dessert was missed of the order. Approached the young man asking to have it removed from the bill as we had not received it but on checking it was not on the bill with him saying he only heard for 2, so not his fault. Informed him 3 were ordered but said it’s busy and quite noisy so probably didn’t hear. He then apologised. But all in all a great experience and really good food. Will definitely come back as a good half way place to meet family.
Was absolutely blown away by this pub. The menu was awesome - interesting flavours but small enough menu so you know everything is super fresh. The service was top notch. Our fabulous waiter, Hubert, was warm, friendly and gave us great advice on what to eat and drink based on our tastes. Can’t wait to visit again soon!
What a lovely spot for us to have lunch... We were lucky enough to be sat in the conservatory part of the pub and got beautiful views of the river. We watched as paddle boarders, rowers and others passed by on a beautifully sunny day. The food was wonderful. We had the Chicken club Really friendly and attentive staff. Would highly recommend.
