A quiet and quaint, themed pub and hotel. Excellent value, friendly staff. Tidy room and spacious room. The only let down was a leaky bathroom tap, which was audible if the bathroom door was left even the slightest bit ajar. My go-to recommendation to anyone when staying in Reading.
Awesome staff a pool table thats not wonky, a working menu woth quiz entry that won't break the bank and and slots machines that will leave you crying to your bank on the phone pretending you didnit just soend all your money trying to win the jackpot, win win I say

Really friendly staff, great atmosphere, tasty food, original interior design and my favourite pool table in Reading
Fabulously quiant hotel, with awesome bar. Lots of little dickensian memorabilia. Lovely stone floor with alcoves separating different parts into shops. Slightly run down however, otherwise would be full marks
Really nice friendly pub and hotel. Fair prices, good selection of drinks and good quality in house food. It is possible to reserve rooms or tables for meetings or events such as board games. Excellent location with friendly staff. Have been repeatedly. Would visit again.
This is 2nd time, I'm staying in this hotel. The rooms used to be very clean. This time I found the bathroom is not cleaned but they cleaned that on the next day. I'll recommend for this hotel. At the downstairs you will get bar where you can really enjoy.
