I have been pleasantly surprised by the food, it was luscious and full of flavour. Menu is not huge, but has got variety, many dishes have fish or seafood. Karaage chicken is in the menu like a small bites, but it is a decent portion, if you feel something between starter and main this would be your choice. Al Pastor taco came with all the ingredients as it should, having been in Mexico and was not sure about it, but have to say it is quite authentic. The Hake with mussels was tasty and came with a nice sauce. Definitely worth visiting
We came here for our sport club Christmas meal and were very impressed with the experience we received. From past history I know that restaurant Christmas meals can often be a bit of a throwaway compared to the usual menu but the Lyndhurst was a strong exception to this. The portions were excellent, the food was delicious and we loved the little touches that the Lyndhurst added for us. A superb venue for our Christmas meal and we look forward to returning during 2023.
I have been to the Lyndhurst many times, and would 100% recommend it. The food is brilliant and completely unexpected from a roadside traditional looking pub. I've taken friends, family and my partner. The staff are lovely and even though I now live over half an hour away, I try to come back. Burger and curry nights are lovely, and wonderful value. We went here for Christmas dinner and it was great, best roast in reading!
This was out second visit and it most certainly would not be our last. We didn’t have a reservation but we were welcomed nonetheless by very friendly and welcoming staff. We had the salt and pepper squid and chicken croquettes as our starters; pork belly roast and hake for mains. The food was so delicious and the portions quite generous. Already planning our next visit, curry night next!
The food here is superb and good portion sizes we had the katsu burger and tacos. Nice selection of cocktails and other drinks. Ukranian waitress sorry didn't get her name that served us was very friendly and attentive. Five Stars.
Food was great and they were switched on with questions about Gluten Free options. Great staff too. Highly recommend
Came to Lyndhurst 3weeks ago for Sunday Roast and we had an amazing time there. The staff was so attentive and the food gave us all good coma ~ wonderful generous portions and amazing flavor for a reasonable price. Be sure to call in and make a booking because they do get booked out pretty quickly for the Sunday Roast.
Food is outstanding. Fresh, well presented, full of flavour and utterly delicious. Great service from the staff and such a lovely, warm atmosphere. Brilliant pub!
We are most fortunate that our favourite pub is also our local - The Lyndhurst. The food is outstanding. The freshness, the quality of the ingredients, diversity of the dishes and the specials change periodically. The menu goes beyond the standard pub food and tempts you with some elaborate cuisine. Dish of the day changes regularly. To add to this, the beers are jolly good too. The crowd is friendly and diverse, and the staff are very nice. It's a really pleasant place to hang out. See you in there!
We went for a large group Christmas meal. Service was on point, everyone got their food quickly without feeling rushed. All orders correct and staff amazing. The food itself was brilliant, especially as we were a large group of 20. I didn't hear one complaint and personally my food was brilliant. Would definitely recommend
