Stayed here whilst working away, room was exceptional, check in was a breeze. Went down for food and had the best pizza I've had for a while move over dominos. The drinks were fairly priced and it was all topped off by our lovely waitress Chloe! Will definitely stay again!
Good pub with a lively bar to grab a drink. Or on the other side have a family meal out, with the choice of having a carvery or normal pub grub meal. We had a carvery which had a good selection to choose from & the chef was very generous when serving meat too ! We got Pizza & chips for the little one which was a whole pizza filling the plate & a bowl of chips easily feed two children with the portion size!! Staff very helpful & friendly! Overall impressed would visit again!
This was a surprisingly nice pub. Its not local to me so first time visiting. Lady on the bar was really polite and helpful, nice and chatty. I ordered the chicken and bacon salad and it was probably one of the best salads I've had, although maybe a bit too much balsamic it was really nice! The garlic herb flatbread sticks were a nice touch instead of croutons! I had a side of the battered mushrooms too and they were also lovely. Quick service, lovely decor, clean and tody, staff running around, no mess about for a steady Saturday lunch time. The only thing that let's it down is the toilets. Patches or liquid...not sure what, I each cubicle, cubicles I struggled to fit into and close the door due to my expanding baby bump. Graffiti all over the doors and one of the locks broken. Other than this I would visit again.
Really helpful and friendly staff; nothing was too much trouble. The lady I've forgotten her name, but i think it might be Michelle? taking our order was very thorough with our dietary requirements and that made us feel comfortable and safe. The chef, Richard, was eager to help with our choices. The breakfasts were nice and tasty and we all enjoyed ourselves. Thank you! We shall return
3 of us had a Carvery lunch yesterday. The bar staff were most obliging. We opted for the small Carvery, and a pleasant young man with glasses gave us a decent amount of meat for the smaller option. Obviously, you can have as many vegetables as you like. Prices for the food and drinks are at the current average levels. Maybe the ice cream station could be kept a little tidier, but over all, a pleasant experience.
Rooms are good and spacious, TV’s are good sizes. The food is really tasty and cheap.
Had dinner here this afternoon, as we have numerous times before. The food was lovely as usual and with a great selection available, equally as lovely was our server Laura. She welcomed us through and made sure we entered our car registration at the bar, an important step to prevent yourself from getting a parking charge. Laura made sure to check in with us during our meal that everything was to our satisfaction, making us feel very welcome. 5 star service all around
I loved the room!! Small and spacious does not seem appropriate in the same sentence but that is what it was. A beautifully proportioned room for one. I was on the second floor and I felt like that could be my bedroom and I’d be happy within. I appreciated the spacious bathroom, the cleanliness of the both rooms, the architectural character of the building was also beautifully kept within the room. There was an ample supply of tea / coffee in the room. Loved that I had a sound night’s sleep. While it did not put me off, to others who may carry a heavy suitcase, they need to be wary that there are no lifts. The stairs are not too much nevertheless. Bearing in mind that the building is aged, I still felt bad walking around at night especially going to the bathroom during the night, as in some areas the floors squeaked and I worried about disturbing other possible guests on the floor below. With regards to dinner, my attendant was marvellous. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. My only recommendation is to have a wider range of vegetarian or vegan options. Loved my stay!!
What a brilliant place for food and drink came ere today with my wife and 3 kids the staff was very polite was greated by a fella called Lee very very helpful and the carverys we had was 10 out of 10 the chefs called luke and Jack made us feel very welcome such a lovely place thank you for making us feel very welcome and can't wait to come again thank you
Went to The Swan last Sunday and have to say it was the best Meal I have had in a long time.My Waitress Izzy was very well mannered and with the new bar service she was still making sure my table was ok! I had a carvery and I have to say the meat was beautiful and so was the veg.I have never been here before and so one of the members in my party was lost and the kind manager Steve assisted him to the toilet.brilliant experience,brilliant food,brilliant staff COME HERE!
