We came for afternoon tea for a birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was very filling and the atmosphere was delightful - pretty in pink and florals. Teas available were breakfast, Earl, Peppermint, 2 selections of fruit teas and coffees. Staff were helpful and gracious. The premises also has a cinema, meeting rooms and a delightful piano as you walk in! Will definitely be visiting again!
This luxurious two floors entertainment place, refurbished five years ago by its Lebanese owner, takes you away to a laid back Asian holiday vibe, and that’s because as you enter the greeting atmosphere immediately helps you feel relaxed and the cleanliness of the place, as well as the hospitality, professionalism and attentiveness of the staff makes you feel important. The restaurant is on the main floor very beautifully decorated with an outdoor seating are as well as different sections to the inside. The lift or the stairs can take you down stairs here you will be greeted with a wafting sandalwood incense smell. On this level you find the main toilets as well as there is a cinéma with refreshments & popcorn on sale, and an after dinner weekend lounge are. There is also a tasteful greeting lobby with sofas and a desk manned by two members of staff who are very friendly and ready to help you. Now let’s talk about the food, the menu is some what limited, prices are reasonable but we felt wasn’t reflected in the quality, and that’s based on the risotto that came with the over priced salmon nearly £23, it was salty and runny. Overall loved the experience and will be going there again.
Food was amazing! We enjoyed our starters: calamari and Thai prawns. Highly recommend. For mains, my husband thoroughly enjoyed the beef skort rib and I had the lamb shank, which I would definitely order again. The onion rings were prime too.The cocktails were fantastic! Not only is the food and drink fantastic but our server Leah was attentive and friendly. She made sure our drinks were full, and preemptively brought out sauces and napkins. Thanks Leah for your attention to detail. I recommend The Sussex Exchange for all occasions: birthday meal, girls cocktail night, brunch, work lunch with a client, date night, or a family meal. You won't be disappointed.
My wife surprised me for our 21st wedding anniversary. 1st over all the outside is beautiful and you had the option of sitting either in our out , we sat inside but were a bit squashed between other couples, the music was to loud as it was harder for me to have a conversation but that’s just the atmosphere and I think I am just a bit deaf and old to appreciate the vibe, more of a younger persons vibe. Now the positives, beautiful building, lots of thought and money spent on the building with a beautiful outside and more cocktail and wine bar vibe, a small but spacious cinema with very comfortable seats, heated if you want to sit outside , accessible toilet close to bar and ok size, the normal toilets are down the beautiful stairs , toilets were very clean and a nice spacious area to wait for the cinemas, you do pay a premium for the cinema but it is limited seating and less showings. The staff were friendly and helpful, I had the dirty burger which at £15.95 is competitively price and my wife had the Salmon , both excellent choices , the bread was made in house and very nice, the mock tail I think was a bit dear at £8.95 considering it was more ice than anything, I enjoyed the vegan honeycomb cheesecake but the gold stuff on top which I think was meant to be edible tasted like paper so I didn’t eat it. Coffee was nice and were never felt pushed out , we enjoyed the outside, only Down point was when booking in other information we put that it was our 21st wedding anniversary and this wasn’t picked up, so 4 stars because of this and the music was a bit loud making it harder to talk. A big far at an hours drive from us, but a nice experience.
Amazing customer service, the venue is absolutely stunning and has an amazing atmosphere. Felt extremely safe there, security guards absolutely wonderful. Food was excellent as well. The main event was the cocktails and WOW the majestic, was absolutely stunning. Definitely coming back here!
Came for afternoon tea for a friends birthday! Was absolutely fantastic : 10/10 for afternoon tea everything was yummy and such good value for money - great atmosphere and decor. Staff were attentive & friendly will defo be returning and recommending. Thanks for a lovely afternoon xx
Excellent afternoon tea. Huge scones which were delicious and we had leftovers to take away. Service was quick and friendly. It was our first time there and will definitely be recommending to friends. The couple next to us had the roast dinner and that looked plentiful and smelled lovely.We went downstairs to the cinema afterwards and that was an equally great experience.
Absolutely amazing place, staff are friendly and service is quick. Location is easy to get to and there is parking on site. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with every fine detail thought of. Definitely will be recommending this place to everyone and will visit again.
Lovely food. Beautiful decor. Great atmosphere Had the Ibiza brunch. Unlimited drinks. Had about 20 bottles between 10 of us and unlimited soft drinks etc. Good portion sizes for food tooFood: 5/5
Excellent place for afternoon tea. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent food, the cocktails are amazing! Good value for money too.
