I enjoy coming here. Its a lovely place with a great small community /village atmosphere. It provides a safe and warm space for community groups as well as for walkers, hungry folk, or simply for those in need of a quiet, comfy space for coffee. There are many options on the menu, both food and drink wise. Reasonable prices and time to wait for food. Customer service is fantastic. The lady serving everyone couldn't have been more friendly or attentive. The place is lined with books to browse or buy. The Strand sits at the bottom of the old road, a fabulous walk which at the moment has snowdrops peeping out everywhere. Sunday dinner here is great, but book or come early to avoid disappointment. The strand offers delivery too. A hidden gem. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian and vegan options Kid-friendliness: Child friendly Parking: There is on street parking , but do be aware that it's limited. Some of it is free. Locals have to park too if you drive there. The traffic warden is always on top of their game here, too, so make sure you look at the signs and the lines! Wheelchair accessibility: One very low step to get in. It's manageable, but not a lot of room inside for the chairs. It's better in summer when there is seating outside Dietary restrictions: All dietary requirements are catered for if you ask.
What an amazing find! Great value delicious Sunday roast with 6 veg, lovely mash/roast potatoes and finished with a good old English pud. Great friendly service. Ill be back for sure!
Such a beautiful cafe with lots of personality - we visited July 22 during our visit to Talgarth. Great service, and a great little place for a bite to eat. - oh and an excellent place to pick up a good book!Food: 5/5
Arrived at 11 am on Thursday morning looking forward to a cooked breakfast as we had researched places on way home from Powis. Waited till 5 past 11 and rang the number on window, lady said she wasn't opening till 11.30 that day. Didn't help me much as I was freezing cold and needed the loo. Perhaps I'll get chance to sample the breakfast next year when I'm passing by.
Very relaxed place, good coffee and lovely lunch. Wide Menu options. The owner allowed our Dog to come inside which was very helpful, thanksFood: 5/5
Stopped here whilst cycling. The food was good and plentiful. We arrived just as it opened and when we left it was getting quite busy. The small village feel and the books made it quaint. An enjoyable stop.
Great Vegan and Veggie choices for Sunday Lunch
Lovely place with a great small community /village atmosphere. Huge choice of options on the menu and the customer service was fantastic. The lady serving everyone couldn't have been friendlier or more attentive. The only reason that I have given 4 instead of a 5 is because my poached eggs were slightly overdone and there was a fair amount of water on my plate obviously from the transfer, the butter for my toast had just come out the freezer too so were like little bricks haha. I also was waiting for more than I anticipated but I suppose I did come on a Sunday and didn't know you had such an extensive Sunday roast delivery schedule! The coffee was great, I would absolutely come again
