I was starving and thought let me go in. Lovely n clean. Staff friendly. My steak was just delicious. Chips were nice. Lovely glass of wine. I wanted to sit for ages an relax. It was peaceful. Had to go as my phone was charging. But would definitely return
Great food and kind staff. Sunday roast was amazing. Service a bit slow despite it not being super busy at the time, but overall staff were very helpful and the atmosphere at lunchtime was great.
Lovely pub. Good selection of drinks, plenty of space and a little sun spot garden. Been for a pub quiz here which was fun, and eaten a few times and found the food pretty decent. Will be back.
The staff initially are enthusiastic, but it soon gets taken out of them. Managers and staff have no knowledge of real ales that they attempt to sell.....when they are available!!!!...and I have found customers are a great inconvenience to their chatter and mobile phone access. Dog friendly Sunday Roast spot in North London‍ After a walk in Alexandra Palace, I had a Sunday Roast with @makdavid.foodie @mochi.mak and Tofu‍ WHAT WE HAD Half Shropshire chicken with gingerbread stuffing and pig in blanket 28-days aged rib of beef The portion of chicken was huge. The chicken was well seasoned and grilled perfectly. The beef was also grilled beautifully. Loved it! A beautiful barmaid who looked like a mini princess Dianna served me some delicious Asahi Extra Dry!
Good calamari... the only pub I've ever had it where I'm sure they were fresh. Basically amazing food. It's a decent gastro pub with a beautiful, ornate interior. The lack of ventilation in the bathroom is a bit off putting - and those bathroom taps that only work when you are holding them down... let the water run a bit so I can properly wash my hands! The staff are mostly warm and knowledgeable​, they have a great range of beer and ales and a full, quality restaurant menu. They are dog and child friendly . Clean but cozy. Weekends get a bit loud with children running wild.
I came here for a gig the other night with some friends who were not from the area. A great experience; the staff were extremely friendly and smiley. A special mention to Aggie who served myself and my friends, she was brilliant! Great customer service skills. Will definitely returning soon!
Good pub and children friendly. Food timings need a bit of work. My Sunday roast was tasty but a little on the cold side. My wife's was better. So one of them is the exception. The staff could be more attentive but they were pleasant enough.
Great pub with plenty of space , a good drinks selection and friendly staff. Strangely very quiet on a Friday night - I am not sure they have recovered to full strength post covid. Although they do get very busy before shows at alexandra palace.
