The Polish restaurant Zakopane in London had a less than ideal location, with lots of rubbish surrounding the establishment. This detracted from the overall ambiance of the place. The customer service was also lacking, with one staff member in particular making me feel unwelcome during my visit. On a more positive note, the food was a highlight of the experience. The soups were delicious and the portions were generous. The mains were decent, and I particularly enjoyed the lovely local fruit drink that was offered. One area that definitely needs improvement is the cleanliness of the toilets. A nice clean would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience for patrons. Despite some drawbacks, the tasty food made the visit somewhat worthwhile.
This Polish place has a cozy Zakopane mountain vibe going on. The crispy potato pancakes with beef goulash? Absolutely delicious. Service is alright, but they could be a bit more on the ball. Overall, a solid spot for a tasty meal with a laid-back feel.Food: 5/5
Well, the food is so good...! Spinach pierogi are great, also the grilled cheese starter and the fried pork chop with bacon, cheese and cabbage. Also the cottage cheese pancakes dessert, really special! Atmosphere and service is just alright, but the food, the quantities and the value is great! It truly feels like being in Poland on the mountains :

I first went here years ago, and had a great meal then, years later I came back to visit with some friends. It was just as good, if not better because I ordered more food. Portions big, prices very reasonable, staff great and the icing on the cake was being in the presence of one the strongest men on earth. No seriously, the waiter/owner holds world records, ask them. 10/10 will visit again, hopefully sooner this time.
The giant guy who's basically FOH was brutally cold and ride to our group for my mums birthday : and made a super sour and awkward experience. Seems he absolutely hated us the moment we stepped in Food was extremely average given the price £70 for 3 mains and soft drinks Would NOT recommend and think they are getting away with murder given the prices/attitude and food quality. Real shame and put a massive downer on the day. Won't be going back. Also don't order the goulash, seriously
I simply love it... Great design, very diversified menu of polish dishes, also good choices of drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic... Excellent customer service, very nice staff, engaging in conversation... Will be back and highly recommended... If you love East European good than this polish restaurant is a must ...Food: 5/5
I don’t relish leaving negative reviews but the quality of food was shockingly bad on my visit. Barely edible, bone-dry chicken. Tangy vegetables clearly on the turn. We were the only people eating there so to complain felt uncomfortable. It’s a shame as the other reviews here are great and I was looking forward to it!Food: 1/5
An absolute gem of authentic Polish cuisine wood panel walls, wooden plates, in contrast to the centre of Wood Green. We were perhaps the only non-Poles in on a Saturday evening, but the regulars were kind enough to shuffle around to make room for us. The traditional meat platter shared between four, and Osycpki/soup starters were delicious and very reasonably priced. Recommended!
The portions are so large we could not finish. Next time we may share!Food: 5/5
