Ribs were really great, I enjoyed my Pork Plate. Little man liked his fish fingers and loved the playground! Wife's steak was a bit tough but that might be unavoidable for that kind of cut.nnIf I had a criticism it would be that the desserts took a while and I started to worry I'd ordered them in a different pub. It would be nice if someone would clear away your dishes when your dessert order comes in.nnThe Standing Stones was a welcome respite after a long drive across two countries.
We came for Saturday lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was good, portions were more then enough, prices reasonable. This has two pool tables, outside area for children to play.nOnly mix-up was with drinks but after we mentioned it it was promptly swapped for the right drink. Parking is free.
Standard ‘pub grub’, something lacking in Holyhead. Quick service. Comfortable surroundings. If parking in Morrisons car park, don’t forget to register your Car Reg ! Neckoil IPA is a must
This is our last day before home. We have been yo the standing stones for 5/7 meals, and every one has been great. The team are friendly and accommodating. It is a dog friendly place, which helped as 1 of our dogs is quite nervous, and they went out of their way to make him feel comfortable too. Would highly recommend a visit, and not to far from the beach and supermarkets.
Here now, Mid afternoon. Had a lovely steak and ale pie. Great ordering system, at the table. Great for a group in that everyone at the table can pay for what they want. Staff efficient and friendly. Prices ok.
