Great food among the best meals we have had. Beautiful location, can't recommend enough.
Good quality food which is well presented and tasty, with prompt and efficient service, and fair prices. It's been a good few years since we have been to The Stag under former owners I think but if this last visit was anything to go by, we will be sure to come back soon.
Service was superb! All team members were attentive, friendly and had a good sense of humour. Food came out in good time and we never felt we were waiting at all. We all enjoyed the food as it tasted fresh and homemade .. faultless!! We would certainly return if only we didn’t live 200 miles away!
We recently visited the Stag for a birthday lunch and the food was excellent. The roast beef was the best I have eaten in a long time and the service impeccable. We had an incident when one of our party had a bit of a turn and the waitress was absolutely magnificent and was so very concerned and for a young girl to be so amazing in her concern for his welfare. I recommend the Stag very highly and great staff, service and food. Thank you.
Had a couple of excellent evening meals here last week, tasty food, great service and menu / specials board was varied and interesting. Portion size was large, baked salmon was my favourite......the red pepper and tomato soup was very tasty but far too hot!
Had our works Christmas lunch, we where sat in a lean to, if you sit on the window side make sure you've been to the toilet or don't smoke. Food was good enough although selection is very limited. Got two different prices when ordered the same drink though.
Nice food. Dealt with our big group of 16 or so by pre orders, never heard any complaints from anyone. Thanks to the team there. great time :
Lovely food and great service. Portion sizes are really generous, and the food tastes delicious. I would recommend the Sunday roast, and the steak and ale pie. Thankyou for a lovely lunch.
Used The Stag for a family reunion meal. Good beer. Excellent freshly cooked food specials board with nice understanding service. Will return.
Been meaning to try the Stag for a long time, not disappointed. Lovely service and very nice Sunday lunch with the family.. We will be returning.
