Visited on a quiet Monday evening, great choice of beers but food menu rather limited, especially for vegetarians. Food was pricey and small portions. Fish pie seemd rather small. Bar snacks were tasty though. Nice clean pub though with ample seating and no musac, giving a pleasant atmosphere. Nice gardens for outdoor seating. Good condition of pub interior.
Had a lovely meal here today. Staff very friendly and food was delicious. It's a large pub with several different seating areas including what looked like a small family alcove. We might have benefited from sitting in a quieter area as we're all getting on a bit and a touch hard of hearing ! but other than that it was all great.
We attended a wake in their private bar area. Lovely place, great parking and the buffet was delicious. Hands down the best coleslaw and chunky chips we've ever hand, made by the chef at the pub. Really lovely staff too.
Very good service when our family had a last minute wake here. Staff were very helpful and attentive, nothing too much trouble. As we turned up unannounced we thought this review was well earned. Thank you so much
Food was Lovely, friendly atmosphere and staff.
Food was really good but I feel they did not cope very well with a large group, we had to wait ages for food even though it was pre ordered and I asked for more vegetables as there was not enough for the amount of people and even though I asked twice it was still not brought out. And I could not catch there attention to ask again as they were busy serving other tables. I did not want to get out of my seat as I would have to ask a few people to get out of their seat to do so. So two people went without. Also when they brought out some sauces, you literally got a teaspoon... Which is no way enough. And we ordered three puddings and we had to wait 45mins for it! So good and bad experience.
Good pub and decent food. This place has a big car park, nice bar area, outside seating and a good sized restaurant area. The Fuller's beers are nice and the food is very consistent. This time we had pan fried chicken and the cod n chips. The pan fried chicken was excellent and really well cooked. I had the cod and the fish was nice and tasty but the batter was a bit firm, tasteless and greasy. The chips were lovely and overall it was a good meal.
So, first time back in this pub in 6 years, because it was a bit sketchy back then. Pretty good now, food is tasty, not badly priced, and the decor is great, & it feels comfy, so if they can get some decent staff behind the bar who don't take 10 minutes to serve 5 drinks, I'll be going back
Visited this pub for a Sat lunch, primarily because it has a nice kids play area surrounded by a fence, keeping the kids safely locked in. The lovely dining room is housed inside a typical, gorgeous, large English pub. Apart from the restaurant, the pub housed a few other great spots to sit and have a beer, including and outside beer garden. After trying a pub staple pie, vegetarian risotto, and kids chicken burger, the food didn't disappoint either.
Fantastic, traditional pub in Worthing. We went for Sunday lunch, excellent service and food, lovely atmosphere and well run . I definitely recommend, one of the best .
