Best Christmas meal, I have EVER had delivered on Christmas Eve and soooo easy to heat up to perfection. They have managed to keep up their wonderful standards via delivery and takeaway during the two lockdowns so far. Well Done
Nice pub with outdoor seating on the main street. We sat outside, which does get a bit noisy with the traffic. Enjoyed nice fish and chips and a burger. Both very good. Loved the old soul music as well. Service with a smile.
This was The Royal Oak as long as I can remember. If they have changed it to the Cow and Oak, why have they kept the Oak? as I asked the barmaid? Very useful pub if you at the Egremont, opposite and not allowed to use the toilet whilst sat on the pavement.
Well managed and the food was first-class, thank you to the staff who served us in these strange times

Hysterical reaction from bar staff after daring to approach the bar to ask if they had nuts. They didn't. I stayed for one drink but in retrospect I wish I spent my money where I felt more welcome.
Lovely staff decent, prompt table service ATM. Good selection of beers.
