The Springhead is a legendary live music venue. Previously voted one of the best music pubs in the country. This big pub has a wide choice of beers and lagers sadly no cask conditioned real ale. There is a function room, traditional bar with a pool table and concert room with a stage and bar. Outside there is a large secluded grassed beer garden with goal posts. Events are arranged in the summer I've been to a couple of classic motorcycles shows here. Friendly welcoming staff a good pub definitely worth a visit. Parking: A large car park at the front of the pub with plenty of spaces. Free on street parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance and the pub is all on one level, okay for wheelchairs.
My wife and I rarely venture out on a night these day, pubs and clubs are a thing of the past. But this visit was at the request of the daughter of a very good, late, friend of ours. A traditional type of pub, of which our room has been, so I believe, a previous concert room. This time it was just a DJ on the stage but there was a decent area on which to dance. That was if you didn't mind some youngsters using it as a playroom. A buffet was available, in a room off the main room, so plenty of room to move about. The bar staff cope well with the amount of patrons and the price of drink were reasonable. It was a night of catching up with old friends, some we hadn't seen for quite a while. We didn't stay until the end as we were tiring. As a function room in this pub no complaints. A decent car park and the gents toilets were reasonably clean. A good night in a good atmosphere.
Popped in for a quick drink on valentines night. Staff very welcoming and friendly. The drink was spot on... locals very friendly will be calling again.Service: 5/5

Celebrated a friend's 60th birthday here. Great atmosphere with excellent service from the bar staff. Only downside was the fact the place could really do with a bit of a facelift. Tired decor and a few damp issues on the walls and ceiling in the ladies toilets. However this didn't detract from a great evening of celebrations.
The Springhead is a lovely pub with great music with the Frank Cleveland Big Band every other Monday from 8.30pm till 10.45. The Pub will be refurbished in a few weeks time to the highest standards . The next gig will be on the the 7th. May. 2018.

Went to see All Mod Cons. Brilliant Jam tribute band. Cracking night. Great music, reasonably priced beer. Great to have a venue supporting live music
We had our engagement party here and the venues really big and have the big garden to go out into aswell and great prices for the rooms, staff was lovely they was very flexible for us to come in and decorate. It was a great night.
The Springhead pub has a wonderful beer garden at the rear of the property, must be the largest in the area. There are many picnic benches to sit and enjoy the outdoors especially in the warm sunshine. Also 3 wooden cabins have recently been built and are a brilliant addition to the outdoor space. The area is totally fenced off making it safe for both kids and dogs. There is also a good choice food menu being served from tea-time. The Landlady and her staff are always very pleasant. They are serving drinks/food outside due to COVID restrictions. I cant recommend this pub enough to have an enjoyable relaxing time.
