I have visited and eaten here for a few years now and love it. In the summer you can sit out in the Common. Staff are very welcoming and attentive, great menu, fab selection of wines, beers and spirits. I tend to visit early afternoon while it's quiet. I have noticed they have recently given it a bit of a makeover and a clear out, looks brighter and lighter. Such a relaxed environment defiently worth a visit.
Good pub. Only reason it misses a star is because there was nobody called 'Spencer' hiding behind the bar. Disappointing as the reason for my visit was 80% beer and 20% strangers called Spencer.
Burger and pint for £10 on a Tuesday is an amazing deal - the vegetarian burger halloumi and mushroom is good but I've had better and the bun has been a bit dry previously.
Excellent food and drinks at a very reasonable price point. Highly recommend the boar burger.
Friendly staff, great drinks, lovely summery vibe to feel like you're sitting on the green! Always super busy which is great!
Wonderful Staff and extremely accommodating. Held the wake here for my Grandparent's passing and whilst we seemed to be eager to feed the 5,000, the team advised and ensured that on the day no more food was provided, despite the over ordering. Lived in Putney for numerous years and feel very silly for not coming in sooner. Thank you for making their send off even more memorable
Perfect place for a Sunday roast. The pub is very comfortable with a nice fireplace that adds to the charm. The roast itself was really tasty and will certainly leave you wanting more! The staff are all super friendly and helpful. I think I've found a new favourite spot..
Nice food and atmosphere!
From the past,this pub is Allways constant value and a pleasant place for relaxation, drink, food, because of the park!
Great that you can sit on the tables on the common. And one of the only pubs where you can sit outside and enjoy the last of the sun. They bring food out to you too. Inside is missing that "pub" feel I think and could have a bit more of an ambience.
