We went to the Sparling for my wife's birthday, a group of eleven. We were well looked after. The starters arrived all together and the main courses likewise, so no waiting for any meals. The food was hot well presented and very tasty. All in all a very nice experience.

We've become 'regulars' simply owing to the superlative and proper cuisine, which is always so enticing. Lovely, spacious surroundings and empathic decor are complimented by the very best staff I have encountered.

Food was OK, starter of pate was nice but as it is with so many restaurants they give you a chunk of pate and then 3 of the smallest pieces of toast to eat it all with!! Burger was good only problem there was the onion rings were slightly over cooked and the batter just tasted of fat. Apart from that nice enough meal and surroundings and the staff were great.

I would like to say a huge "thank you" to all the staff - we came last night for my husband's works Christmas do. It was unfortunate that you had a power cut which caused you problems but I think all the staff handled the situation extremely well. We were fortunate that we had eaten our starter and main course which was absolutely fabulous. We will come again and I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. 🎄
