Nice friendly staff especially the barman/cocktail maker. Was very busy but they managed to get us a table when we arrived without a booking. Good choice of ales and cocktails. Food was pretty good too, although maybe a bit expensive, but you pay for the location so not overly concerned. Would definitely visit again if we are in the area.
we had a really nice experience at the snake catcher, I've not had to cook my food before on a hot stone. but was really fun. Food was great, service was lovely and would def go back. we went with 2 kids, 5 adults and a dog.
Brilliant service exquisite food and a wonderful relaxed country pub atmosphere. Me and the wife are extremely picky with food and service l. We have been here time and time again now and really enjoy it. Highly recommend the steak menu as you get to cook it yourself on the stone to your own liking! Brilliant experience.
Stopped here for lunch whilst out on a bike ride. Wow! What a lovely place to eat. We are plant based and we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of things we could have from the menu. The staff were friendly and kind and the pub was clean and comfortable. A lovely spot to eat, would definitely return. Sarah
Other pubs might want to up their game. Great pub. Gets busy early for a reason. Food is outstanding - particularly the hot stones for the meat you can cook your way. Good selection of drinks, loads of friendly staff, lovely outdoor areas. Couldn't want for more really. Will be visiting again.
Well what can we say, stayed in Brockenhurst March 11 to 13th Fabulous weekend, food was Amazing, Staff very Friendly, Great Pub, lovely outside area Definitely worth a visit

Decent and varied selection on tap, some of which I hadn’t seen before. The place was warm, had a nice layout and toilets were functional. Had a half pint and friend had a mulled cider. A good stop after a day of walking in the new forest.
Interesting food. The hot stone idea is fun and the food tasty. Friendly service. The tables were not completely clean and the interior is looking a bit worn. Pool table and gambling ? machine suggest a slightly more down market clientele than I remember from my last visit a few years ago.
Had Sunday lunch here with friends in one of the two dog-friendly gardens. Brilliant menu, great service, excellent food. Play area for the kids, football on the big screens inside for the teenagers. It was busy outside but the food arrived quickly. Perfect after a long walk in the New Forest! Highly recommended.
