I met friends here that were visiting the area, so I only saw the bar. It's clean with a nice cosy atmosphere, with tables well spaced. The staff were helpful and polite. I had a pot of tea. The tea pot was rather cute, the cup a good size. It's came with a small piece of chocolate fudge which was a nice touch. One of the people I met there is a wheelchair user. The bar door had a lip that the wheelchair found a little tricky. There is a disabled toilet there that inexplicably, is up three steps and at the end of a corridor. My friend was unable to access the facility.

Booked indicating a wheelchair user was within the group for dinner, nobody mentioned that there is no accessible toilet (having a sign for a disabled toilet does not make the three steps any more accessible). Waited over an hour for starters and during that time no staff member bothered to explain the delay. Two hours in the end before we eventually got our main meals. We were offered two bottles of wine as a way of appologies for the delay but in the end we had to indicate that some discount on the bill would go some way towards easing the disappointment. Food was lovely (only stake in the mixed grill was tough and chewy) and could not fault it but will think twice before returning due to the poor service.

Wonderful food. Really pleasant atmosphere and the staff were all very helpful. Will certainly be back on my next visit. And certainly considered using the rooms they have available next time.

Lovely meal here. Went as a group booking. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Staff were all very nice. Would definitely recommend the slate for a meal.

Friendly service & well presented, tasty food. Tastefully decorated in trendy greys. Chairs a little hard & uncomfortable & the bar/dining room was freezing cold (12.30pm) but they did put the heating on when we asked them to. Would definitely return.
