Nice enough place. Only hung out at the bar during the Grand National but the staff and locals alike were top notch. Prices were fair. The bar staff gladly borrowed me a phone charger which is always a good sign in my book. Large outdoor seating available and a restaurant at the side too. Older school vibe but one I recommend.

The good news is that the people I met running the hotel are nice and the room is clean. We did book for 2 nights, but our experience made us cancel our second night. Sorry, coming into a room which is cold is not a good start. Some lights were not working. One bed was damaged and could be slept on, but not the best experience. TV lost large part of memory when unplugged. Only two sockets in the room, one needed to be used for an electric heater. Windows in the room are single pane, so traffic noise (and trains) can be heard loudly. I would avoid, unless you want a cheap place to rest your head after a night in town. Breakfast is OK, but not impressive. Free wifi was not to working in or reaching our room.

This is a quite cheap hotel. It has a bar down stairs. They show the football when it is on. The bar has quite limited for beer. They offer food but not the best quality. It is located across the road from the train station so you can use if you need a hotel near the station. Offers multiple size rooms.

Loud music and karaoke until early morning rught below room, tiny room for the price. Comfortable beds and location ideal

Good staff and nice environment. Has a pool table and a wide array of drinks. Food is also pretty good. Lots of different events that are held throughout the week.
