Avoid! Terrible experience from start to finish. Very poor quality food, not as described on menu. Unfriendly and argumentative staff. Tiny portions. Extremely slow service. No good for kids. Would never go back. I have stripped all the detail out of this review because it was becoming too stressful that the pub keeps responding to argue the toss over finer details and completely missing the point. Strange because when we were there the manager said, “I would be kicking off more than you” and we were pleased she took some items off the bill. But despite the discounted bill, it is 1* because the food came not as described with different or missing sides, the portions were tiny, the food was poor quality e.g. “garlic bread” pictured and the service was shockingly slow. I truly hope that behind the scenes they take learnings from the issues raised.
Visiting London as a family member is having a serious operation here, the Gentlemen on duty, on both visits, were very accommodating, friendly and made time for us. We really appreciated their hospitality, especially in these stressful times for us. Lovely home cooked food at reasonable prices. If we ever return to the area, this is definitely where we'll be coming Thank you!
Great place for a quick drink in lunch time. Food always looks good but not yet had time to try any. Only reason for not giving 5 stars, as I was driving later i wanted a zero alcohol beer and they had none so I had to stick with coke
Excellent pub, with great food, beer and service. Lovely atmosphere. Cannot recommend more.
Great atmosphere and boy was the Guinness good. Well poured, creamy and not too cold. Perfect evening
Very unpleasant experience Wednesday between 22:50 and 23:00. The security guy with dark long hair was just plane rude. Happy to discuss in more detail the conversation that took place last night. The lady collecting glass literally shouted at the customers in the bar, which made us very uncomfortable. The staff behind the bar were lovely, but our experience just before we left was awful. I definitely would not recommend this pub and we will not be coming back
The best service and Peter is amazing host for everything. Definitely reccomending for parties and events.
I never write reviews, however I enjoyed my experience at this local place. Peter was very nice charming and experienced while showing me around. I’m going to book the downstairs room for my company’s function next month. Great drinks, upmarket pub food. 5/5
Great pub! We highly recommend, the lovely staff. Morgan was very friendly behind the bar and had fantastic conversations …. Cocktails were delicious too. Thank you again, see you soon…
We recently came here for a late Saturday lunch - the food is INCREDIBLE - classic British pub food done right. The service is also really great with staff looking after every need. Highly recommend this place.
