Stumbled across this little pub whilst walking around London. Staff were friendly and attentive. Had a pretty nice vodka lime soda. And they made it to all my requests. Sat down outside, read the menu only to discover it's a smokehouse. The food inside looked pretty good and of good portion size. I think I'll come back to try it. There were also vegetarian options on the menu.
The Lord Wargrave is a bar/restaurant that was only about a 5 minute walk away from where myself and my partner were staying. We came on a Saturday night, around 8pm. A fair sized place that very much prides itself on it's smokehouse menu. It has a massive array of whiskeys available too. My partner had the rack of ribs I did try a little bit, they were very nice. I had the Loaded Mac & Cheese, also the Loaded Fries & also some Spiced Tater Tots. We both had dessert after our mains. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was incredible! The staff were friendly and very attentive too. We felt incredibly welcome and looked after during our visit. Very much a place worth visiting if you enjoy smoked meats and whiskey.
We stopped into Lord Wargrave for Sunday roast today and had a great meal. To start, we had the fried halloumi which was prepared with buffalo sauce and ranch. The ranch dipping sauce had great flavor and was very light which was nice. For our mains, we had one pork roast, one beef roast and a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad had a ton of chicken on it which was a nice bonus. For dessert, we obviously had to end the meal with sticky toffee pudding. This tends to be our go-to dessert and this one was one of the best we’ve had thus far in London.
Excellent BBQ - big plates of wings the Fire Wings are very, very , plus a choice of ribs including thick juicy pork, and baby back. Big helpings - I could barely walk back to the tube after lunch! We did not try the non-meat options, but I'm sure they were also very good. This is a great place for BBQ & slow cooked meats!
Let me say this is BY FAR the BEST BBQ I've eaten here in London. The location is just off of a main street, so it's tucked away from all the noise. The atmosphere is very chill which is ideal. The drinks are amazing and all the staff are very knowledgeable especially if you're a whiskey drinker. The Food is hands down AMAZING! I've been 2 times so far and loved it each time. Shout out to Elliott for being so gracious, attentive, and caring. Shout out to the other employees for making the experience worth coming back! Cheers!!
As a BBQ snob from Texas, I was very skeptical about their smoked meats. The beef ribs did not disappoint and I would put them up against anything I have had at home. Very friendly and professional staff to boot.Food: 5/5
Absolutely loved it!! We came here twice during our visit this week. The food is great, everyone in the staff is so so nice and welcoming!! And their ice tea, oh my god, it’s so good, best I’ve had!! Our server was so sweet and she just felt like an amazing person <3 If I lived in London I would definitely be a regular here!
Cool vibe. Nice cocktails. Only had an appetite for desert and would recommend the Belgium waffle. The burgers look huge and tasty especially since everyone was ordering them. Will try and get one before we leave London.Service: 5/5
This British pub has a nice atmosphere and good quality food and drink. The staff, Lana and Christian are exceptional! And the two of them supported a lot of customers - and always with a smile and a willingness to help Food: 5/5
We came down to London from the midlands and we always like to plan ahead with where we go to eat. Lord Wargrave stood out as highly rated and it did not disappoint. Excellent food, and atmosphere. Great service from Rosie. We had two sharing platters and the meat was incredible. One of the best smoke houses I’ve been to. We will come again for sure.
