Great place and atmosphere. QR code at the table so you can order as soon as you sit down. I ordered a scotch egg, fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding. All of which were delicious and the portions were big. The staff are friendly and courteous. Overall a great place to have a meal.Food: 5/5
This place is delicious. I had the steak shin and pale ale pie and my husband ordered their chicken and bacon burger with Scottish eggs. Also I had the truffle fries thay they were perfect !Food: 5/5
I was in search of good pub grub and this place did not disappoint. Next to Sherlock’s abode, a lovely pub with great atmosphere and authentic food. Our amazing Greek goddess server Sot recommended the sweet rhubarb cider yum, I loved the scotch egg runny and delish and bangers and mash. My friend really enjoyed her vegan burger. Thanks for the great food, atmosphere and conversation

We were here for lunch after visiting the Sherlock Holmes Museum. This pub is located almost next door. The food was decent, the chairs were comfortable, and the atmosphere was nice and calm with fast service.Food: 3/5
Good food. Excellent service. Got a housely feeling about this restaurant. Also love how the people working here are dressed. Ate fish and chips. Absolutely great. The toilet is not very clean and the seats need to be renewed.Food: 5/5
My first visit in The Volunteer. They have excellent beer and food Steak, Shin & Pale Ale Pie.Our server Sot is very nice and smiling. Atmosphere and restaurant is very pleasant in general. I really recommend this pub. Food: 5/5
