Simply superb! My wife and I visited today for lunch with a couple of close friends. Having recently undergone an expensive refurbishment we were keen to see how the pub had changed. All I can say is - WOW! - from an aesthetic point of view it is fantastic. A staff member did say how much the refurbishment cost and I'm quite amazed at how much of a change they've managed to achieve for the price. It's thoughtful, very tasteful and wonderfully welcoming. Two of us had starters, deep fried calamari and peppered mushrooms - both excellent. For mains the four of us had cod & chips, smoked haddock, flat iron steak and what was described on the menu as belly pork - it wasn't. All of the meals were well cooked, very tasty and, for me, reasonably sized portions. A fantastic cheesecake topped with fresh cream topped off the afternoon for the ladies while the menfolk settled for perfect Irish coffees. The staff was attentive, courteous and very helpful. We even got a short guided tour of the place and there are some real innovations which I would imagine will go down really well particularly with groups of 6+ people. In all the bill came to £105 including a bottle of wine, three pints of good beer and a couple of soft drinks for the driver. In conclusion, I really couldn't recommend it highly enough. Go and visit and tell me if I'm wrong.

Very nice place and delicious food.Had the lamb, certainly will have it again.6 of us went and all had different meals..all rated it highly.

Lovely setting, very friendly staff. Prompt service without feeling rushed. Lovely food and large portions. Had a fabulous Xmas Dinner - thank you
