The Ship is a charming old pub at the heart of the village. Nice welcoming and hardworking staff, friendly locals. They serve up good food and a broad selection of beers. We are always made to feel very welcome when visiting the ship. They love dogs, especially Labradors, seems like everyone has at least one. Their Sunday roasts are very tasty and well priced.

A lovely old pub with only four rooms, ideally positioned on Fordingbridge High Street.  Paid parking is available behind the hotel and steps lead down to the door. Excellent pub grub in the evening and a great breakfast with a choice of continental or full English. Surprisingly quiet at night given it's location for a good night's sleep

We popped in for food one evening. Good menu of choice and there’s also a specials board. Lots of seating and tables behind the pub to enjoy the great weather. Food was good and well presented at a reasonable price.

For accommodation in Fordingbridge I just want to say how lovely the Ship was to stay in. They have 4 rooms, I don't know if the layout is the same, but my room was lovely, very comfy bed, curtains that kept the light out, super quiet, big light airy bathroom and everything I needed for a good night's sleep. Lovely staff, friendly and welcoming. I would definately recommend The Ship if you are after a good cozy home style place to stay at a good price. Thank you so much.

Excellent! Best food we've had in the new forest, family of 4 and every meal was delicious, staff very friendly and helpful, food came out piping hot, I had the fish pie and was the best fish pie I've ever had! The chef deserves a medal, highly recommend, good prices amd quality food.
